Everything here is excellent. That includes the staff! You also cannot beat half price sushi every Sunday. I highly recommend this place.

Real fat cuts of sashimi! Delicious sushi rolls! Everything we ate was fabulous. And, Decently priced. Will be going back soon, and as much as possible!
Update; I have been going here for a few months now, and everything we have tried has been fantastic. Thanks for a great time on my Birthday!

I spent $100 on take out and I was given 3 white sauce. I was told I had to pay $6 for adequate white sauce. I have 8 sushi rolls 1 entree and 3 appetizers. How is 3 white sauce all that I get for "free"? Unbelievable. I spend this much every week for sushi. I won't be buying food here again.

When Tokyo first opened it immediately became one of our favorite restaurants. In Danville, for me, just for me-there isn’t anywhere I really love to go or that my whole family will go to. Tokyo became the go to then it kind of went down hill. I was very discouraged but because it is my favorite I continued to try. The last few times I have eaten there have restrored my faith. The food has been once again tasty and for me the service is always great. Last night Madison was great. She was patient with me and my big order and offered extra sauce and she had a helper Holly who was also amazing. I was very happy. I think the mask while wearing it can hurt customer service becuae people can’t see the smile. But I have always had good customer service from them.

First time going I ordered to go. The young lady that took my order was rude and rolled her eyes because I was taking to long. It was my first time ordering from there, after feeling rushed I ordered something quickly. 20 minutes I go to pick my food and my order isn't ready because the rude waitress didn't give the cooks my order. Very disappointing and the shrimp was over cooked and the meal wasn't pleasant at all!

Great place and the sushi is half price on Sunday! The hibachi Chicken shrimp and steak bowls are awesome too.

For being a small town in Virginia's only real attempt at sushi, Tokyo Grill takes full advantage of their position and leaves much to be desired.
In the world of sushi, there are two things you absolutely must get right - the rice, and the quality of the fish.
Pretty consistently I found the rice to be dry and overcooked, which is the fundamental Foundation of sushi. As for the fish- it's kind of a coin flip on freshness as sometimes it's satisfactory, other times you're looking at several days past the freshness that proper sushi demands. This sadly results in many of the more conventional offerings (such as Nagiri or Sashimi) being waxy and subpar in both crisp texture and finish.
Tokyo Grill seems to try to make up for this fact by offering a variety of sushi rolls that rely heavily on spicy mayonnaise sauces or eel sauces it's overwhelm the pallete instead of focusing on the protein.
Considering the lack of alternatives in the area - you're kind of stuck with Tokyo Grill on this one... It would be nice if the itamae wasn't coasting asleep at the wheel on things.
While the post staff and servers seem incredibly young, they are definitely full of spunk so you're not going to have any issues with service here. Coupled with a full bar, what they lack in experience - they make up for in enthusiasm.
All in all, not a bad little spot - but don't expect much.

Steak tasted like roast beef, fried rice was just white rice with no flavor, veggies were like almost raw,and my five year old could chop veggies better,I only gave it 2 stars because the cashiers were polite,Also p.s bathrooms were not that good wither,we won't be going back
