It was surprise from my husband for our 20th anniversary. It was a very nice experience. They weren't seating on the patio but made sure we had a view of the Dan River. Our waitress was super nice and checked on us a good amount. The food was really tasty and looked beautiful on the plate. We had the fried oysters for appetizers. I had the pan seared chicken with Bok Choi and risotto which my husband ate most of. 🤣 He had the filet that came with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. They had a huge amount of beer and drink options. We will be revisiting.

Downtown Danville has been busy renovating old tobacco and textile buildings turning them into inviting and charming places of business for the public to enjoy. Cotton is in one of these buildings with The Dan River flowing along just beyond their outdoor patio. . The servers and bartenders have always been helpful and friendly, as well as attentive and pretty quick on their feet. The menu is full of delicious items, many sporting names that pay tribute to the history of the location. They also offer a rather long list of alcoholic beverages with some items coming straight from local Danville breweries and wineries. . It is a great place to celebrate birthdays (we have on occasion) as well as a nice place to sit and relax in a comfortable atmosphere with friendly faces, a happy hour cocktail, and truffle fries or wings 😁. . As we walked out last time, there were customers visiting for the first time. They weren't sure where the entrance was. You go to the leafy covered arch that says "Riverside Mill" (located to the left of the Cotton side of the building), follow that short path into the glass double doors, go up the stairs to the next floor, and they are to your right. 👍

Always a great time here! We were greeted with pleasant smiles and the servers are so knowledgeable about the items on the menu. If you’ve never had the buffalo chicken on flatbread or the cheese fries try them! I promise you won’t be disappointed. Oh yeah and then drinks are on point!

This restaurant is hit or miss, but I do recommend it! Our drinks are always amazing. Appetizers are lovely. Main course is sometimes spectacular and sometimes misses the mark. Absolutely love the view eating on the patio by the river. Will definitely go again. Just wish it was a little more consistent, but it's understandable given the way things are these days. Overall worth it. Staff is always pleasant and attentive as well!

We try to eat at The Cotton when we pass thru on our travels. Today I believe was the best we had. We came in on a Sunday right at lunch time. It was extremely busy with the church crowd but we were quickly seated. We ate off the brunch menu but what was the best was the fried churro's with vanilla ice cream & bourbon soaked peaches. We spoke with the GM (Frankie) before we left and he is a super guy Making sure the customer is satisfied. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will not be disappointed

Had an amazing dinner in Danville that I was not expecting. We found this little gem and decided to go in and we were so happy we did. We sampled several appetizer from their open kitchen, which included their spinach and artichoke dip, the Caribbean fried shrimp, truffle fries and the crispy brussel sprouts. All of which were cooked perfectly, served hot and fresh that left us wanting more. I order the Polpette di Nona, which was a capellini pasta with a rich tomato sauce and some of the best sausage and beef meatballs I have ever had. I will make a point to have this dish everytime I return to Danville. Incredible!! I also don't want to to fail to mention that this restaurant is set in a gorgeous setting in the old mill building. The interior decor is absolutely gorgeous and the service was top notch as well. Whether your on a business dinner or looking for the perfect date night spot, this is it!! Looking forward next time!

The Cotton at Riverside Mill is a clean, nicely renovated, well thought out restaurant with a great view! We arrived for what we thought would be lunch, but they either serve brunch or dinner. So we had our meal during the brunch menu. The food is good as is the waitstaff. We both had the burger with fries. The price for burger and fries was a bit pricey but the food was cooked well and tasted great. The portions were more than larger than expected. Our waitperson did a good job of keeping our glasses full and came back often to check on us. Yes we will come back.

Really great bar / restaurant over looking the river. Brunch here was really good. Really nice inside - very tasteful. There is good outside area to eat as well. Loved it
