Jimmy's Famous American Tavern

The food was outstanding. Portions were large, my wife and I split a bowl of chili and a burger/fries! Great service. Friendly staff and fair prices. The only negative comment is due to a screaming 3 year old! Not the business' fault but as usual.....young parents thinking we all want to hear their kid scream for 20 minutes.

Food was on the OK side. Wasn’t in my top 10. I had the French dip which was fatty and full of sinew. Almost like it was pulled off the bone, which left the white sinew sheath. I think that has to do with the prime cut they were using. Atmosphere is awesome and the service is top-notch. Looks like a great place to bring your friends and have a couple of drinks while enjoying the view. Right across from the marina although there is a road in between you and the marina.

The ambience is quite nice here . The service was 5/5 ,Oliver our waiter was so friendly, knowledgeable, and quick . Even though it was a busy night everything came out in a timely manner. Calamari was okay, it was pretty chewy and the breading just sort of slides off on some pieces. Fish and chips were also not great, but the fries were good. The fried chicken with greens and mashed potatoes were fantastic, and the cowboy burger was cooked perfectly . For dessert we got a brownie , it had raspberry sauce on top of the ice cream , and it was so good! Tried the seasonal drink , the blackberry martini, a must try!

We went on a Monday afternoon to checkout happy hour at Jimmy’s. The restaurant was mostly empty and there was no one to great or seat us when we walked in. We had to hunt someone down to attend to us. The location is great and the inside decor is nice. We tried the calamari which was just ok, nothing special. The drinks were also unremarkable but looked nice. They didn’t have a unique flavor. The star of the evening was the cheeseburger which was delicious. If we go again we would order one burger and split it because is was a substantial meal. The service once we were seated was very was good.

Sitting at the bar with Jack as our server/bartender... this is how it's done, folks. The food is, honestly, surprisingly good. We just came to sit and enjoy some Sunday football, but ended up with great drinks - highly suggest the blackberry martini if it's available - and great salads and the tuna burger ended up being really good! I'll be back for sure 😁

This was my first time trying out Jimmy’s and I gotta say we were very impressed. We were seated quickly even though it was very busy and once we ordered our food was at our table within 10 minutes maybe even closer to 5 minutes. The food was fresh and hot, and the portions were surprisingly large. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to eat some good grub!

Popular spot but still had tables available. My party had a great server who was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The spicy burger was rated a solid 4 stars by two members of my party. I thought the bun was excellent. The Tavern bowl was good though I thought they could've used less rice and the chicken was a bit dry. I'd definitely come back to this spot to try to the other burgers.

Definitely a popular and busy place and I can see why. The food was great, and it was very filling. Lunch is perfect cause you won't need to eat dinner! Seriously I eat a lot of food but man that burger was so filling. I like the atmosphere. Only negatives is the large focus on alcohol and the dirty sticky tables. Not every table was being cleaned well as I could tell. Nice place though and desert was great as well.
