Have been going to this restaurant since it was in the smaller place near Baylor Hospital. The quality of the food is unbelievable. Unique. Quality food from the get-go. Portions are perfect. Ambiance is warm and friendly without being loud and annoying. You won't find Pizza here. The authentic Sicilian recipes speak for themselves. A good place. Good food. Pleasant service. Competitive prices for there up-scale food they offer/present. Not pretentious but their menu is. :) One of my neighborhood favs.
I've eaten here twice and both times my meal was excellent. I admit that I am a whole food plant based eater, but they came up with a veggie and whole grain pasta dish that was excellent. My daughter loves their cheese pasta dishes.
It is a little intimidating going in, you wouldn't expect this place to be here. The atmosphere not bad, but a bit odd. But the service is good, the food is obviously fresh and hand prepared.
Awesome. The food is very fresh and flavorful. Don't understimate the quality because it's in a strip center and so-so part of town. Rarely stray from the chicken marsala, but when I have I don't regret. Nice wine selection too!

Excellent! Really!. Crespelle was fabulous; best I've ever had. Canneloni Andrea also very good. Tiramisu was beautifully presented and very flavourful. Setting was very romantic -- too bad I wasn't there with my one special one. Prices are competitive; service with aplomb.
Been going to Andrea's for years, food always exceptionable. Service attentive without being smothering. Looking for a new favorite place, Andrea's..

Great Neighborhood Flavor. We've been going here for years and it has always been a pleasure. Alfonso's sauces and soups are wonderful and rich - we've never had a poor experience with food or staff. The entree portions are appropriate - food is delicious and fresh. Alfonso does visit with regular paying customers and the atmosphere is always very friendly and intimate. When my mother, who loved Andreas, died recently - the staff sent a sympathy card. He also prepared my favorite soup for me for take out when I had oral surgery a few years ago. Andreas is a great little neighborhood spot - truly a jewel!
A great spot for Italian. On a recent Tuesday, seven of us rolled in here for dinner. From the outside, the place looks like it could be a dump, as it's nestled in a dilapidated shopping strip on Gaston near Fitzhugh. Once you're inside, though, you'll find a nice, old-school, cozy little mom 'n' pop Italian joint. Great ambiance.
The service was relaxed, which is not to say slow. They were attentive, friendly, and managed to put up with our slightly rowdy crowd. Once we ordered our wine and food, our salads came out in short order - and their house salad was very good.
For the main course, I ordered Andrea's Canneloni, which was stuffed with a crab meat and multi-cheese blend of goodness, topped with a nice marinara sauce (an Alfredo sauce is optional). I also managed to steal a bite of the Pasta Bolognese, and it was very, very tasty. If there had to be a weak point, it was the bread - which wasn't anything special. After the meal, we discussed dessert and decided to try the tiramisu. Unfortunately, they were out of the stuff! Dang it. I guess I'll have to try it next time...
We also learned that Tuesdays are "2-for-1 Tuesdays," so that knocked the bill down to a more-reasonable-than-it-should-have-been amount. But even at full price, this is a great find.
Anyhow, at the end of the night, I was pleasantly stuffed and my car was right where I left it. All in all, a very good night.
Andrea's on Gaston. Not anything like the shopping center it's in. Love the atmosphere & have taken several IATSE travelling crew folks to it----------they loved it!!! The price is right & the food is superb.
Nice Restaurant, Bad Location. For some reason, I like restaurants that are in the crummy parts of town. It gives them some sort of "street cred" that could otherwise make the place go unnoticed.
Anyway, the food here is exceptional! I've only tried the chicken alfredo and a sampling of some shrimp and pasta infusion. The alfredo was a decent consistency and the shrimp dish was oceanically (real word, starting now) flavorful.
It's a bit pricey, at least $15 per person not including drinks. But I will go back for more!
Wow great ambience, cozy, great food, live music (not too loud); pasta cooked just right
Andrea's quite simply is a hidden jewel within "The Rock" community. It's a quaint bistro with an amazing staff paired with great food. While their I ordered a bottle of wine, two entrées, appetizer, and dessert, and we did not break $100. Please don't be fooled by the economics. There was no sacrifice in quality! Please know if you are looking for a place to have quality food on the regular. You have found your spot!
The food was fabulous and the staff was friendly! The atmosphere inside of the restaurant is nice. My only complaint is the parking lot. It's in disrepair and has very limited spaces.
Nestled in the heart of our community, this local Italian restaurant is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped by its cozy atmosphere, complete with warm lighting and rustic decor. The aroma of freshly prepared Italian dishes wafted through the air, instantly whetting my appetite. The menu offered a delightful array of options, and I decided to start with the Fried Mozzarella as an appetizer. The golden and crispy exterior gave way to a gooey, melted center that was pure indulgence. For my entree, I chose the Salmon with veggies, and I was blown away by the perfectly cooked fish paired with a medley of tender and flavorful vegetables. To end the meal on a sweet note, I couldn't resist ordering the Tiramisu, and it was a divine combination of creamy mascarpone, delicate ladyfingers, and a hint of espresso. What truly impressed me was not only the deliciousness of the food but also the reasonably priced wine selection that perfectly complemented my meal. This local Italian restaurant is a true treasure that provides an authentic dining experience that won't break the bank.
Omg delicious 😋 food for love one of my favorite low-key location . Nothing to do with how the out side looks is like walking in to Italy. Perfect for romance
Excellent lunch! Their prices are very affordable for a high quality Italian lunch. The food seemed to be the same portions as dinner which says alot. I tried the staple lasagna and was not disappointed. The bread was piping hot and the salad was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back again.

All the food was fresh and delicious! If you love lemony flavor, highly recommend the Victor Rissoto!
Quiet neighborhood restaurant, been there or ordered delivery. I love to try different items and find a waiter that will give me a truthful recommendation for a great dish. Most will often reply it's all good, or even say something like I don't know, I haven't tried anything. That is really discouraging. How are we found the perfect waiter, Sergio, he gave me his honest assessment of a couple plates but suggested I try the Victor Risotto It was on a bed of Italian rice, something I've rarely tried in Italian food but I was pleasantly surprised and how good it tasted together with shrimp, chicken, and tilapia with portobello mushrooms. We had calamari for an appetizer,, they were excellent. The shrimp were butterfly, with ample portions. My wife had a classic chicken linguine and it was spot on. Food was great and the service was even better. We will be there again soon.
What a neighborhood delight! Exactly what you dream off from your local Italian restaurant. Unassuming exterior, spacious and tasteful interior, excellent service and wonderful food.
The lasagne was so flavorful. Pasta Andrea an excellent balance without being overly creamy. Salad fresh and delicious .
It was my birthday eve so when I ordered a Zinfandel and it really wasn’t what was I was expecting I decided to order a Pinot instead. Our lovely waitress didn’t even charge for the first.
I’ll be back.
I love this place! The food is fresh and flavorful, and it fills you up but doesn’t make you feel all heavy and weighed down. The service and atmosphere are amazing as well. It’s very elegant on the inside and I highly recommend going here!
I was very impressed with the menu, great wine selection and service at Andreas! Very intimate and quiet setting. The service was outstanding and management takes pride in creating a nice dining experience, If you're looking for Italian food - this one is the perfect choice!
