I haven’t eaten here yet, but I hear the owner really knows his way around Israeli style hummus.
We really enjoyed out meal!!! We were so happy to have healthy, delicious food. The falafel, fries and chicken schnitzel are all air fried. Nothing was greasy. I haven't had falafel in 20 years because I refuse to eat fried food, so this was such a treat! I can't wait to return to this restaurant!
We were looking for some healthy choices to dine and found Maya's . Great place, menu and food quality. Ample servings and a good value. Our only concern is we are not a fan of ordering at the counter because if you are not familiar with Mediterranean dishes or sauces, you feel rushed and is confusing. I think they should have pictures of their menu choices with a description. Same thing with the sauces and which dishes are best with them. Having to just randomly pick a flavor can be disappointing, as was our experience.
Went out of my comfort zone to try some new, cultural food. It was good, though not filling. If you're looking for a light lunch, this will certainly do. A lot of what I ordered tasted a little bland or very much like lemon. Not sure I'd come back, just might not be my cup of tea food wise and that's okay. Service was great.
Superb!! Really felt a void when Ali Baba left Lakewood 😞 but Maya’s has filled the bill! Wonderful clean healthy food! Great prices and exceptionally pleasant staff!! Best French fries in Dallas and they are air fried..eat all you want, they’re good for you!! Thank you!!
I tried a salad topped with salmon and both their hummus and baba ganoush. The salad was great but the lettuce definitely needed to be dried off more before packaging it. Had it with the tzatziki dressing and it was pretty good but needed a little more zing so I squeezed some fresh lemon juice on it at home. The baba ganoush was the star of the show and had a great smokey, garlickly flavour. All ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Service was a little disorganized after the original girl who took my order left the counter and I was left waiting for my food then sent out without half my order which luckily I noticed before I left.
Ordered the same thing the following week but with the harissa dressing which was amazing.
My favorite casual Mediterranean eatery! This place has great quality food, prices you can’t beat, and perfect portions. I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. I frequently visit this eatery multiple times a month.
Getting ready for a vegetarian diet and decided to try this restaurant. Ordered the air baked falafel plate. It was very good and I’m glad I stopped by to try this restaurant. The offer many healthy options including juices. Angelina was so sweet, helpful and should be promoted!! Also, they do have an happy hour with a relaxing setting. If hesitant just give them a try and see what it’s like. 10/10 ;)
This is a counter service restaurant with table delivery. The food was amazing. Servings were generous. The seating was plentiful and tables were clean. There are vegan and vegetarian options.
The menu is confusing and a little intimidating. I was glad I had looked at the online version before arriving. You pick from a bowl, salad or pita, then add a base, protein, topping, sauce and side. The drink options are limited. They sell cann/bottle drinks or they have tea and lemonade available.
The hummus is award winning. It is the smoothest consistency. The babaganoush is wonderful, but heavy on garlic. I loved it. They are both offered with hummus or carrots. We also ordered a pita and a bowl. We had much leftover.
Run, don’t walk, to Maya’s Mediterranean if you want healthy and super FRESH and tasty food. We have had a lot of Mediterranean meals, and the freshness, and spices used at Maya’s make it the best we’ve ever had. Love love love the lemon garlic sauce (ya gotta love garlic), hummus and also the grilled kabobs and “Kafta” (beef kabobs) as they use a special spice in the beef. But seriously: such good food! We liked getting the family style so we had meals for a few days.
Good food, decent portions. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate with Tabbouleh and “Israeli Salad” as my sides and it was tasty. A bit more quinoa in the tabbouleh than I was expecting and everything was better with a pinch of salt, but some customers may prefer it that way.
