where do i start. i drive all the way from grand prairie to dallas (oak cliff) just to enjoy a lone star donut jellyroll. they always get it right. i can't wait for my next trip to purchase and devour a lone star jelly roll to add to my belly roll....

Lone Star donuts is a vintage gem. I love that it hasn’t been modernized at all. The donuts are really great! I felt like the quality and the price and the friendly service were unmatched. Best donut shop in Texas hands down.

The best breakfast burritos ever. Surprisingly good popcorn as well, takes a week or longer before it goes stale. Also, the donuts are amazing and best when fresh and warm.

Way back then my mom was in labor with my sister and then me, my dad would go down the street to this oasis of awesome for some quality pastries while he waited for us to arrive. I'm happy to know that +33 years later they are still in top of their game. @LoneStarDoughnuts is still the undisputed #BestDoughnutsinTexs!

Always great donuts! The chocolate taste like chocolate not just sugar like other places. Don't sleep on the popcorn... grab a bag for later ;)

I heard a lot of praise for these donuts growing up and now I understand why! I got the original glazed, some cinnamon rolls, a yellow jelly and fritter to being back home and they were delicious! Everything was soft and perfect, I went a little late in the afternoon so they were in between batches but I'll definitely be back!

They have fresh donuts again! Lone Star makes the best glazed donut in Dallas and it's $0.65. The lemon filled donut is also delicious. There were no cake donuts when I went but hopefully they will have them soon! I wish they were open on the weekends!

Lone Star Donuts has been around nearly my whole life. I knew there would be wonderful donuts before Sunday School at Cliff Temple when I was a child. It used to always be open whenever we drove by there. SO GLAD to learn it will soon be getting back to more normal operations. I've missed being able to get a fritter or cinnamon roll whenever the urge struck. The ones I got today were superb!

Not a huge variety left by the time I went in @9am due the construction across the street. Luckily I did end up trying a cinnamon roll and apple fritter prepared that morning. Both were very good. And pleasantly surprised that the total was less than $5. Shocking really. Maybe Im so use to the price gouge of other donut shops.

I went by yesterday. May 15 2023. They've reformed the jelly roll and added a gel like raspberry substitute additive which tastes NOTHING like the original! Sad to say but this will be my last visit to Lone Star Donuts. It was a very sad say for me ... gilcortez from Grand Prairie
