When we lived in Dallas County, we enjoyed "regular" meals here, but now that we're 60 miles away, we only get to come for special occasions. Chef Karen Kahn never disappoints. We just had Thanksgiving dinner at Eden this evening, and it was wonderful, as always.
We had a great lunch at Eden Cafe this weekend! Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere! Looking forward to eating there again soon! Thanks for treating us and our out of town guests so well!
We had no reservations, and showed up unannounced, but were treated as honored and expected guests. The food was excellent. The walls were home to original pieces by Picasso, and the cafe showcased the work of local Dallas sculptor/legend Annaliese Kahn-Christian. Chef Karen made us a beautiful meal and made us feel as welcome and charmed as one could possibly feel. It is BYOB by the way, but wine is poured with grace. I loved it!!!
We have known and loved Chef Karen for a,number of years. She is an educated and certified chef with a lot of years of experience, many in very well known 4 and 5 star kitchens.
Her food is fabulous and in many cases unique to her.
I am curious about those who have dissed her food and service. Had they gone to Burger King or Jack in the Box which I suspect is their usual place for a night on the town, they would have known before they went the quality of the food, the speed of service and the "ambiance" and the price would have been very little less.
As for me, I'll take what Karen has to offer any day.
This restaurant has intrigued me for months as I have driven past it - I am just sorry it took me so long to dine there! The food is absolutely FANTASTIC - everything is fresh and made from scratch.
My salad of greens was excellent and beautifully presented, while my quiche was truly incredible, especially the crust. I also sampled the different breads served before my meal, and they were all to-die-for.
The ambiance is fun, and the restaurant itself provides a wonderfully intimate setting conducive to a leisurely meal and conversation. Plus, it is BYOB with only a $5 corkage fee.
I HIGHLY recommend Eden Restaurant and Pastries. I look forward to many returns!
We went by late Saturday night for desserts and we ordered the coconut cake, the 5 layer chocolate cake, and the lemon mousse cake. All three were absolutely amazing!! It takes a bit to get food but it's totally worth it, I mean what's the rush we have to do everything quickly now a days? We can't wait to go back and try the entrees! Just make sure you bring your wine or beer since it's BYOB.
neat experience. a diamond in the rough. the food and the service was fabulous. great place for a date night. we went for brunch and had quiche which was served with the freshest of fruits and a wonderful hash brown side. everything was ridiculously delicious. the server was so sweet. she gave us take out menus and our very own souvenir ink pens! ;) we can't wait to go back for dinner....or high tea...
Make no mistake, Chef Karen Kahn is a Dallas treasure. As a patron for many years, I have never been disappointed. Her food is always beautifully presented and prepared. Remember Chef Kahn doesn't start cooking until the order is made from fresh ingedients so if you are in a hurry this may not be the best choice for you. However every dish is worth waiting for and enjoying a meal that is so nicely prepared.
So each meal is an exerience and Chef Kahn makes each one special.

I've done a lot of different things for my birthday but this one was extra special. All thanks to Eden Restaurant. The setting was nice, wonderful staff, excellent chef!! Only wish there was soft music playing. Very clean as well!!
Have been on multiple occassions.. suggest making a reservation for the best service. The food is fabulous and because of the atmosphere and great food, it is definitely worth the wait. Must try the crab eggs benedict. To die for!
