Everything was good. My husband and I got the 3 meat plate w/2sides turkey, brisket, and jalapeno and cheese sausage, potato salad, bbq baked beans and the turkey baked potato. Everything was delicious. I have had better potato salad but it was good. The also had the live band Natural Change which made for great atmosphere they were great�.
Always have a good time at Babb's Brothers! Not necessarily for the food and drink, but for the entertainment. I do love their smoked turkey sandwich which is what I always get when I go. Mike Babbs is quite an entertainer and keeps it fun. He's very personable and interacts with the customers. This is not for the snooty diners looking for upscale bougie atmosphere. This is casual fun dining experience where you get in where you fit in as far as seating is concerned. This is the place I love to take out of town visitors for a fun weekend experience in Dallas.
An attentive staff and cleanliness will always either make or break a restaurant. At Babb Brothers the whole team has the right idea, taking care of the customer while providing a great flavored meal. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was not a line and the atmosphere was calm. To further elevate my visit I was truly impressed with the staff's helpfulness in every aspect. I'm not sure what title he carried but, Arturo, took a quick second to speak with me and made sure I was a satisfied customer. The only regret I have was not having time to play jumbo checkers. I will most definitely be inviting my parties here from now on.
First time here. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was pleasant with plenty of room. I had a loaded baked potato with beef brisket. It was delicious! The brisket melted in your mouth. The misses had fried catfish which was perfect. Great pickles! Great iced tea! The cole slaw was sweet and absolutely delish. Only disappointment was the potato could have been a larger for the price. We will definitely visit again.
We happened across Babbs while visiting Dallas for the weekend. The food was great, we were able to get in at about 4 o clock before dinner rush. It was literally empty except for us so we were treated really well. We were able to get the Mac cheese which was amazing.
I'm leaving it as only 4 stars because I was expecting alot more for Texas BBQ and to be honest it didn't seem much better than our local places. The BBQ sauce was also not amazing.
I ordered the turkey w/okra & cheesy potatoes. It’s an clean establishment and full bar available. There was a live band. Several birthday parties were celebrated the evening I was there. The band gave birthday wishes. It was a pleasant experience. I’ll visit again.
1st time here and great place for bbq. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is laid back, and the pepperjack mac and cheese is amazing! What they lack in the smoked taste in the meat they make up in flavor. The staff is super friendly and they have live music every friday and Saturday night for no cover and you can bring your kiddos! Will definitely come back
Good bbq in Dallas at very affordable prices too. I got chicken so can't really speak on the quality of the beef and pork but the people I was with kept raving about how the meat fell right off the bone. The chicken was really good, smoked chicken!! There was also a live band in the evening so that was also very entertaining! I wish bbq places had more appealing sides. As someone who doesn't really like Mac and cheese et all, I find myself only eating a side of fries with my meal.
Fast moving line leads to a kitchen filled with Uber friendly staff and an amazing array of bbq hot off the fire. The brisket is juicy and the ribs perfectly done. Lots of sides and drinks to go with all in an amazingly fun spot to dine. Great music to go with it too!
The owner greeted us at the door and chatted with us for 5 minutes. Very nice man and nice staff. Ribs were the best Ive ever had, brisket and pulled pork was top 3. Price was fair, live music, this place is awesome!
Great barbecue at an amazing price. All day happy hour and some interesting drinks designed in house. This place is located in a great area where you can get in a solid walk after the meal
Was a little after 12 noon and no crowds yet. Servers were very friendly and quick. Food was good and tasty, with good portions. Didn't finish my plate. Had the 3 meat plate with 2 sides. Barbecue sause was different, but had a good taste. Also had dessert, peach cobbler.
