Authentic. Tasty. Attentive waitresses. Pricing was average. Loaded with obtains in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Also has a grocery section. All the food had great taste, plentiful, and cooked just right. Then they brought out a tray full of small free samples of their rice pudding. It was delicious, the best I have ever had. Friendly customer marketing.
Love the chicken kobideh! Delicious. Like beyond phenomenal. The basmati rice is sooooooooo goooood! On a general note I don't like basmati rice (I usually find it to be bland) but the way they cook it at Sahara is exceptional and deliciously buttery. Service is always great👌
Tried this place out for the first time, here are my thoughts. The food is reasonably priced and the service was friendly. The chicken kabob was good, but the ghorme sabzi needs some love, didn’t taste as authentic. Also, the atmosphere could use some music to liven it up so it’s not so quiet in there. The owner was nice and the server was trying hard so I appreciated that. Overall, some small improvements can really take this place to the next level.
I recently had dinner at this restaurant and was blown away by the quality of the food and service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and made great recommendations for both food and wine. The dishes we ordered were all delicious - from the appetizers to the entrees, everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The atmosphere was also lovely, with a chic, modern decor and comfortable seating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
Wow the kubideh beef was so good. Absolutely fabulous 👏. Hot Persian tea also was a great match. Only one waitress tending to all the tables there so better not be in a rush. Food still came out quick. Their special chicken was also incredibly tender and flavor 👍.
The Sahara is a quite surprise. Service is great and the food was very good. Ordered the ground beef kabab and chicken kabab. The ground beef was excellent. The chicken was tender and juicy and grilled to perfection. Also the tea was something to have after the meal. All in all very good.
It's good. Foremost, they no longer have a buffet. It's a very cute, authentic Persian place. My chicken kabob was well prepared with a great marinade and I really enjoyed the hummus. I can't say enough about the potato salad, which is excellent. The saffron rice came with two little fried potato cakes, which were good. I'll definitely return.
I’ve come here from the time I was a child. The food is always fresh, authentic and delicious. Staff are kind and this place is truly a staple in DFW Persian cuisine. Probably why it’s been around for more than 20 years. I wish they would open another location North of Dallas in the Plano/Frisco area because I think they would have a line out the door. As always, it’s still worth the drive!
Not a fancy restaurant but food is amazing. Don't miss it.
The food is amazing! We just had a party and ordered food from them. It was great. High quality and very delicious. Highly recommended!
