Had heard so much about the place. Finally was in the area. Didn't know that it was drive thru only. It was about 15-20 to get to the speaker to order. Old menu board. Couldn't read most of it. I ordered a small fry with my 6 wings. Didn't know that fries came with it. Couldn't read it. I came around 12:00 noon. Long line.

Babyyy, I don’t think it’s another chicken spot better than Rudy’s! IYKYK! I love a good hood chicken spot that’s consistent with the freshness and flavor of their chicken and fries. Prices of their combos are reasonable and the customer service is always on point. It’s similar to southern classic here in Louisiana but still has its own taste! The next time you’re in south Dallas, do yourself a favor and go get a 2pc combo!

I've been going to Rudy's chicken for the past eight years let me tell you this recipe is so delicious I know you'll be back, crispy texture very flavorful you can order a half of bird a whole bird or individual pieces the french fries come in a bag with slices of bread sectioned off are jalapeños and pickles. The only negative about the situation is an order doesn't come with napkins!! So my advice check this place out and let me know what you think.

Take out only , but the best fried chicken in DFW makes up for the lack of a dining room. I know some secrets about this place that I've sworn to never reveal. What makes their chicken so good! A special 3 oil blend, the batter, and even the temperature that it's cooked at are unique. And let's not forget the seasoning blend that only the owners are privy to. Fresh, never frozen food prepared in-house. Even the cakes that they offer as desert are baked in-house. Family run using the same recipes that Mrs Rudy grew up with in New Iberia, Louisiana. Drive by and try some chicken with red beans and rice, Louisiana style. You won't be disappointed.

Those fried chickens are awesome! Just ask for some extra seasoning on them and the fries, and you are all set to enjoy!

The fried chicken staple of Oak Cliff! The lines are always long because this place is no hidden gem. The fried chicken is always hot and fresh. The extra seasoning on the chicken adds so much flavor. Some people think the extra seasoning makes it too salty, I happen to really enjoy it. They recently changed their fries from thin cut to a larger cut style(I preferred the thin cut fries). I would put this fried chicken joint in the top 3 in Dallas.

Some of the best chicken I ever tasted. I recommend the wing dinner. This place is take out only. Been a customer for more than 20 years.

All in all it was good, especially because I was 10 minutes away and thought I'd try it! This is a drive-thru or walk-up only establishment, therefore the sound system should be of better quality. I couldn't hear the lady much at all, I just hoped she heard me. The skin of the chicken was good, if they marinated the chicken for flavor through and through it would be amazing. I was surprised the skin of the gizzards weren't seasoned as the chicken, but they were crunchy. As with all things the prices have gone up since the last menu picture posted so I'm including a new one although the price of the banana pudding was higher than posted. It is a regular pudding, I have been looking for some from scratch that has more of a caramel taste. If ever near the area and can afford a cheat meal, I'd get it again.
