Mimi's Star Cafe is small cozy breakfast/brunch restaurant with good tasting quality food at great prices. The menu has a good variety of food options. The best perk about this restaurant is the staff, which are always friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to eat. FYI Please try the fresh squeezed orange juice.👌
Hey everybody wanted to let y’all know about a little breakfast/lunch spot. It’s called Mimi’s Cafe up in both Dallas. It’s at the intersection of Mapleshade and Preston road, just south of 190. The place probably holds about 45 to 50 people, so not a large place but not tiny either, it’s just right. I went for breakfast around 10:00 a.m. on a Monday and there were 15 to 20 people there. Their menu is nice and varied. It goes from traditional breakfast teams, to pancakes, Benedict’s, omelet’s, skillet’s, biscuits and gravy, etc.. really attentive waitstaff, courteous and knowledgeable. After getting some coffee, I ordered the three meat omelet (bacon, ham, sausage) with hash browns and marbled rye toast. Within ten minutes I was eating. It was fresh, hot and really tasty, especially the rye toast, it seems to me at least that it’s kind of hard to find in a lot of restaurants around here. The portions were above average for sure and it’s nice to feel that you are getting your money’s worth you know. You can see into the kitchen that’s just behind a small divider wall so you know exactly what is going on, which is also nice. The prices are in a good place, especially these days when cost keep going up. For my breakfast ( three meat omelet, hash browns, toast and coffee ) came to 15.57, which I believe is very fair for the amount and quality I received. So to wrap this up, if you are around this area come on over and give Mimi’s a try, I believe you will throughly enjoy this place, the atmosphere and people. Everyone stay safe out there.
Do yourself a favor and skip Denny's and IHOP or Jim's and go here. The wait staff was super easy to talk with and they were on top of everything. Place is beautiful and clean. We had the chicken fried steak breakfast which only needed a fork, the hash skillet that was super good, ham / egg croissant, and more. Hats off to the chef, the food was off the charts good. Thank you Mimi's wish you guys were closer to where we live.....
Had the salmon and avocado toast and a breakfast hash with pancakes and gravy. I'm so happy I found this place. The place is small but clean and I will be a regular here for a while. Thank you for the great food!
Breakfast was awesome! During our vacation we went here here everyday for breakfast, and enjoyed every order. Staff is super friendly. Definitely Recommend
The biscuits and gravy were really good! The pancakes were above average. I got chocolate chips cooked in, and there were plenty. Lots of good options on the menu; it was hard to choose.
Mimi’s is very good. Reasonably priced, good food and friendly staff. The corned beef hash bene was delicious. We also tried the BLT and vegetable tortilla soup. Both were very good too!
I never thought to put one of my favorite foods (smoked salmon) in eggs benedict. It was the star of the dish complemented nicely with the fluffy English muffin, lightly-medium poached egg, and creamy hollandaise sauce. It was paired nicely with their fresh squeezed orange juice. I had to get a second glass of that stuff. Lastly, the staff was very friendly and handled some certain spillages (from my party) in a kind manner. I'm for sure coming back.
