Fantastic food and vibe. The owner and staff are very attentive and personable. Thai Opal is definitely a hidden gem!
My first time at Thai Opal proved to be a very enjoyable eating experience. First, the restaurant layout, though small, provided just the right amount of space to create a homey and casual experience. Then, what a delight I found with the chicken pot stickers. Next, the curry chicken, adjusted to my spicy preference, with the heart-shaped rice made my hunger abate and my taste buds sing, yes, curry cooked right can be that good... especially here. Rounding it out were very pleasant staff who provided class-act service!
Amazing Thai food with cozy and warm ambiance. Tried their red curry, green curry, garlic vegetable, Panang curry and papaya salad. Everything came out good but red curry is the best. Service is quick and courteous. Lot of vegetarian option is add on. Good place for nice family fine dining.
This is beyond your normal hidden restaurant. At first glance from the outside you would never guess how elegant and outstanding the food and atmosphere is. I could not give enough stars to how impressed and overly excited to know I have my new favorite Thai restaurant. This place just took me by suprise in so many ways. Hands down will recommend to so many it's worth trying.
Exceptional! By far, best Thai place I have ever tried in Dallas. Food was amazing, very tasty and a good portion as well. There’s a reason for those awards :D (I looked at those before we were seated and I agree!)
Assamn curry was really good, as was the mango sticky rice. The chicken satay was also good, but the individual skewers were pretty small (2 are pictured, oder comes with 4). There was only one server when we went, so it took a bit longer to order and ger our food. The restaurant was also sort of warm inside, but it wasn't too bad.
Very romantic obviance atmosphere. Classy music in the air. Above average waiter. Perfect spot for a romantic date without hitting the pocketbook.

Great atmosphere. Good food. Their beef salad has more than just lettuce and cucumbers. They added micro greens to it. Very lovely, tasty, and healthy! Tom Kha was also fragrant. Warning, though... The kitchen staff are Thai. If you're not up to Thai style hot, stay with only three or four stars spicy levels. They really mean it when it comes to spiciness.
It’s beautiful inside the music they play is so calming. It’s a great place for a date. Or just a really relaxing place to eat and drink wine I would give this place 10 stars if I could
Great food in a hidden great Thai restaurant. Real authentic Thai food. Even the vegetarian egg rolls are delicious. Awesome sauces and dressings for the salad too.
The wait was long for the food, but they sat us immediately (used Google reservation) and the wait was worth it!! Delicious and had to be some of the best Pad Kee Mow I’ve ever had. The spice level 3 was HOT so be aware of spice level for this dish. My brother got a 4 for the pad Thai and it wasn’t spicy to me!
Absolutely delicious! Best Thai food I have had in years- definitely a hidden treasure! Quiet, peaceful atmosphere, with soothing music. Incredible flavor, romantic ambiance and wonderful service :) and my husband loved the sticky mango rice!
