This place is phenomenal! I drive 45 mins just to bring my daughter here. I get the cappuccino chocolate chunk cookie, which by the way is to die for! Their cookie dough ice cream is the shiznit combined with the cappuccino cookie. I wouldn’t be surprised if they started making shakes here one day and blew up even more. Although I wish they sold milk in general to enjoy with the cookies. Just a thought, but I’ll continue to come out here’s very friendly and helpful staff, every single time it’s someone different but always the same chirpy attitude, seems like you guys are building a great work culture.
Great ice cream. Their signature is an ice cream sandwich with cookies of your choice. Get the chocolate crunchy walnut cookie with caramel sea salt ice cream! My son loved the crazy colors ice cream. They also cater parties and they sell ice cream cakes, too.
After getting turned away by a couple other dessert shops during covid I ended up at Pokey O's. This is definitely one of those places that took that homemade dessert feeling and implemented it into an ice cream sandwich. The guy working was super nice, the sandwich was honestly too large but that's not an issue (he warned me but I didn't listen) and the price isn't bad for what you get. If I was down in the area craving an ice cream sandwich I'd come back for sure.
Loved this place. Went in with the family and they staff was extremely friendly. The true testament is when my 3 year old dropped her ice cream with about 2 bites out of it on the floor… the gentlemen behind the counter immediately told my daughter “oh don’t worry about that I will get you another.” Pretty awesome people, i would recommend to everybody!
My husband and I were visiting Dallas from Oklahoma. He just so happened to get a sweet tooth and found Pokey O’s close by. Not only did it taste amazing, but Richie (hope that’s the correct spelling) was such an awesome person! He gave us some history of Pokey O’s and was very helpful when we couldn’t choose what we wanted. Thank you so much for the experience Richie!
This place catered to my job the other day. I had the chocolate chip cookies with cookies and cream ice cream. It was lovely and crunchy just like I like my cookies. Never heard of this place before. I will be going to their store.
Very good cookie ice cream sandwiches. Blue Bell Ice Cream and homemade cookies are hard to beat. The location is convenient and in a nice area. The store itself could be improved with by having napkins, a hand-washing sink available to customers (melty ice cream is messy), and decor besides laminated photos taped to the wall. Good place to grab a treat.
Absolutely delicious! My husband and I shared an Ice Cream Taco. It has 3 scoops, we chose chocolate chip cookie dough, Happy Trails, and some type of butter finger flavor I don't remember the exact name.
Love this place. Blue Bell ice cream makes any occasion better. If you're going to use a credit card, make sure you are purchasing more than five dollars, or two cookie sandwiches. But, the cashier might be nice enough and let you off with an under five dollar purchase.
Best way to eat it? Squeeze the cookies a little, says eat the ice cream coming out of the sides. Then it's a bit thinner and you can eat both cookie and ice cream at once.
Great ice cream, better service! I loved the cookies in the ice cream sandwich and how fresh they were. 10/10 would recommend, mainly because of the service and friendliness of the employee Gavin. Must try, and say hi to Gavin if you see him.
