Review Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen - Dallas

Absolutely. Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen has earned its place as a top dining destination. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their culinary treasures.

We were staying at the Westin galleria and found this great restaurant serving regional southwestern food. We experienced great service, the waiter was very knowledgeable to recommend menu items to us. Both cocktails were very good, the lobster beignets were interesting and very tasty. My husband ordered the southwestern salad with skirt steak and chicken. He said it was the best salad he’s ever had! I had the shrimp and grits and I pretty much cleaned the plate. To top off this great meal we had the drunken Texas pecan cobbler! Yummy 😋

At Second Floor Regionally Inspired Kitchen, prepare to have your concept of flavor challenged. The dishes are not just delicious; they're an exploration of taste dimensions you never knew existed. It's not a restaurant; it's a portal to a parallel universe of culinary excellence.

The food was pretty nice. I had the carne asada steak with fries. Really enjoyed the marinate on the steak. The service was terribly slow and I didn't get a server for over 15-20 minutes. Granted it was around 10pm and the bar was a little busy. More of a bar atmosphere but a good late night adoption if staying at the Westin.

The staff here is so good and Really make you feel welcome. The drinks were great. The bartender had suggestions for a new versions of drinks that we hadn't tried before.

I was a little thrown off when walking in as I thought this restaurant was like it was pre covid. The menu was nothing like it shows on here to be or like the pictures you see on here. Their prices are way to high for me to be nervous on taking a chance. I did to give them the benefit of doubt. I was quite surprised. I'm glad I took a chance. This is their mustard salmon. It was so good! I loved their veggies. I loved their mustard sauce. Their salmon was huge and I couldn't finish it. It was cooked perfectly. My husband got the Texas burger and said it was good. This morning we went back for breakfast. I had the Belgian waffles, bacon and potatoes. It was so good. My husband had the pancakes and said they we're good. Just know that their staff isn't huge so if they take a bit to come say hi that they're cooking and preparing. It is open seating. The staff is super nice but at the same time they match energy.

On a business trip; went at end of day. Bar/restaurant setup. Fare that is out of the ordinary like PitMaster Flatbread, arugula and quinoa salad, and chicken tortilla soup. Totally casual.

What ended in a busy day I truly enjoyed the ambiance and customer service. I was not just another black person I was a consumer like everyone else. The wings were spicy for my taste buds but that glaze was beyond delicious. I don’t know what brand of Pinot Grigio but it was worth every penny! I highly recommend this restaurant. #worthit

TOP TIER! First time ever eating at a roof top restaurant. Quality and service was AMAZING! The Ethiopian waiter who’s name is Bush, made our experience even better. He was extremely welcoming and conversational and took some of the BEST pictures of our life for us! Follow on IG to see @iamzazel & @uniquechene! Our waitress was also very patient and polite. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but I Highly recommend visiting this place. Lamb chops was A1!

My family and I had a great dinner at this place last night. They provide a nice upscale variety menu, topped with a great choice of good wines by the glass, and a great beer selection. Service was nice and friendly. .

The bartenders there are wonderful. The Asian server/bartender is really friendly and nice. The food is great and the portions are very generous. I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. I had the continental breakfast. A bit meager...

The ambience was magnetic, the food was good (my steak needed salt, but the chimichurri was so flavorful), the service Jinny provided was the best part of my experience. I'll definitely visit again!

Went for the Easter brunch today. The food was good and the Easter egg hunt for the children was very nice as well. It was, however, very obvious our server was not happy to be there. We were seated promptly but waited for him to show up for a few minutes. When he did arrive he didn't explain anything about the brunch but only said "you want anything besides water?" He never once in the entire time we were there refill a drink. He absolutely took advantage of the fact that gratuity was included. I had to bother other wait staff for anything we needed. He needs a new profession.

They need to add an Omelette Station. I will visit again only if and when the station is in place.

Was looking forward to trying out their thanksgiving buffet with three other family members. We had an allotted time to be there. We were told our table was not ready while I counted 6 empty four top tables. When they finally placed us at our table. I proceeded to the buffet. I asked for ham but they were out so I went with the turkey. Then I went down the line of silver servers. Empty mash potatoes, empty gravy, empty sweet potatoes, empty bread stuffing! The few things I managed to get was completely cold and tasteless. I even left behind the worst bloody Mary I've ever tasted. Four hundred dollars later I left there very dissatisfied and hungry! Never again!

Great Dinner. We had the best dinner at The Second Floor last night! Located at the Galeria which is a good location for many.

Very refreshing Moscow Mules. Yummy wines and good wine selection. Delicious Salmon; Melt in your mouth Filet Daniel; and cannot forget the Pork Belly sliders. Ordered a side of stick thin french fries for fun, they were really good.

The service could not have been beat. Not obtrusive and very personable.

Their upcoming cooking class sounds so fun, I think I will invite some friends!

What a beautifully decorated Bistro, we felt like we were in California.

Cannot wait to go back and sit at the bar for one of their burgers, we hear they are among the best.

Just Ok. Reserved a spot at the bar for the Mixology class. They do alot of cool stuff with dry ice, liquid nitrogen, etc...its fun to watch although the drinks are more gimmicky then good. I thought all the food was good, not great. The Pot Pie tasted good, but it was more like a soup then a pot pie.

Nice Place for Girls Lunch. This is a nice place to lunch with the girls. The bottles of wine were super reasonable at $20 / bottle. We had the Crane Lake Cab which was fabulous. For the entrees: I had the scottish salmon was slightly under cooked in the center-but still tasty. I expected a little more from the paella (perhaps seafood). The menu called out crab meat, but I didn't see any with the salmon. My friends had the risotto and crab cake/scallop appetizer. I think they enjoyed their dish. Dessert was the chocolate bomb (wonderful), bread pudding (one of the best I've had) and the panna cotta (forgettable - too "flan"ish)

The Second Floor Bistro & Bar. The bistro & bar inside the Westin is cozy, beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. Do you like sliders? You are in luck. Just think…Whiskey braised pork sliders with mustard slaw on a pumpernickel bun. Bite into the thick bun and crunch into some tangy mustard slaw and then bite into the tender, whiskey pork. Perfection.

Cheese for dessert is a disgrace to all mankind. Catastrophic. Lethal. Depressing. A barbaric act against pastry chefs everywhere. A socialite is probably responsible for bringing cheese plates into the dessert section of almost every menu. This is inside the realm of possibility– not outside.
Quest For Burgers
At lunch Second Floor features a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and entress such as hand rolled fettuccini, risotto and house made gnocchi. As intriquing as those dishes sounded...
