Yesterday’s, six-hour plane ride was one of the longest in my little doggy years. Not because of the time it took to get from Boston to Dallas, but because of the anticipation of where my little paws were going to take me the minute we landed and checked into our hotel. It’s been fifteen years since my little furry paws walked these streets on a daily basis, and a lot has changed, but thankfully one thing hasn’t, Gloria’s Latin Cuisine in Oak Lawn. The chips arrive immediately to the table. They are warm, and lightly salted. The chips are served not only with some of the best salsa around, but also with a bowl of warm, pureed black beans. These are things doggy dreams are made of, and it’s only the beginning. For years, I have always had enchiladas. To me they are the ultimate comfort food and are always amazing here. But for some reason I decided to go off in a different direction and ordered one of the Salvadorian Combination plates. I may never go back after eating their chile relleno platter. The meal arrives beautifully plated with all of those delicious Latin flavors rising up in the steam of the freshly prepared food. White rice perfectly cooked with peas, corn, and carrots alongside a soft velvety bath of warm refried black beans. The relleno was stuffed with cheese and drizzled in a spicy red sauce. As this was a combination platter the relleno was served with an enchilada. The ground beef enchilada was covered with the most delicious chile con queso. If you find yourself in the Oak Lawn neighborhood and are craving Mexican/Salvadorian food, there is no place else to consider. Get yourself to Gloria’s. Oh and the margaritas…well just get there and experience it in person. There’s no other way to describe it. My rating…5 Paws shatasdogbowl

Gloria's is one of my family's favorites restaurants of all time. The salsa and chips are always fresh and the black beans are awesome. My go-to is the burrito with fajita chicken. The drinks are very good and you're served quickly.

We live within walking distance to Gloria's, so we eat there at least once a month. The food is good and always consistent so we are never disappointed in our meal. The patio is the best spot - inside can get loud. The staff is friendly and never rushes you, even when it's packed and people are waiting for tables. We typically rotate between ordering the fajitas, salmon, and steak.

This place does amazing Latin food. Lots of tex mex inspired dishes, there is an array of choices that would make you dizzy. I wanted to come here as recommended for Chile Con Queso. I found that and more here!

Service is very friendly and though occasionally forgetting some things at times I could forgive it as the food and other things he did made up for it. He did ask if it was my first time and I advised it was.

A big bowl of corn chips was brought out with some spicy salsa and black bean dip. I also ordered a Chile Con Queso and that was brought shortly after this. The corn chips went well with the dip and chile con queso. After a try of the salsa, I steered clear of it as way too spicy for me as have a low level of tolerance for spicy foods. For the entree I had the Chimichanga With Beef Fajita (one burrito stuffed with shredded cheese, chile con queso, and beef fajita and fried golden to golden perfection. Served with spanish rice, pinto beans, lettuce, guacamole and chile con queso). This was very delicious and exactly what I imagined it to be. When I checked with the server which choice of meat I should go for, he suggested the Beef Fajita. It was a great suggestion as the chunks of meat went well with the filling and the sides.

I was so stuffed at that stage however the server had a wonderful surprise for me. As it was my first time there he presented me with a Tres Leches on the house. It is a sponge cake soaked in three milks. It had a lovely texture and tasted really nice. Wish I could've finished the whole slice but it was a massive slice of cake and I was very full before that. I would've been happy to pay for it but again southern hospitality was shown once again.

You should give this place a try and you shouldn't be disappointed at all.

They have irresistible chips and salsa... And black bean dip. If you are vegetarian ask for the special vegetarian menu. I tried the veg quesadilla and the tacos. All brilliant. Add 1$ margaritas to that..!

Not bad. I've heard a lot of really great things about Gloria's, so today a bunch of us from work went. All in all, it was pretty good. Nothing really stands out. I had the Carne Flameada which was pretty good. I hear the drinks are really good, maybe next time that will make it better?

Maybe if they could replace the other patrons?.... Food was ok, service ok, atmosphere ok, parking is ok- this place is a solid "A-OK" 3 star restaurant.

Food: Tamales, carne asada, chips/salsa and even the skinny margarita were all very tasty. But there was minimal effort put into presentation- the steak looked like a giant oblong pancake next to a an ice cream scoop of black bean mash.

Atmosphere: The first vibes are warm and inviting, like getting a hug when walking in from the cold air. It was a nice change from the super modern and somewhat cold atmosphere that most Dallas restaurants take on. But then I realized the place was full of riff raff looking for cheap drinks on a Tues night- Dear stranger: why are you eating your food standing up while flaying your drink? sit your butt down so I can ignore you!

Service: Everyone from hostess to waitress was experienced and accommodating- but dont expect a smile!

Parking: garage only?! deal breaker.

Useful info: sit in the back cause the front is too loud, they offer "skinny" alcoholic drink options for the calorie conscience, keep your eye peeled for the entrance to the underground garage directly behind the restaurant, an entree and small appetizer is enough for a couple to split , order the carne asada raw - even "raw" it was like a well done burger

Good, but I like the original. I miss the old, small, original Gloria's that was in a converted gas station in Oak Cliff. Food has always been good, but it was "homey" back then. I hardly go now because they have become too "fancy". For food, I recommend it. For value, not so much.

Steak is good! Very juicy and flavored, not smoky and pepper wise tho. Service is also good! Free salsa and chips provided. The chicken in fajitas is good but veggies are not well cooked. It’s definitely worth to try. Went on Sunday noon and it’s not very busy, zero waiting time.

A small but very nice Gloria's more up in the uptown area. Every location I've been to has their own unique design and decor but all provide excellent customer service and excellently delicious plates!

Did not dine here. Stopped in for drinks on the way to a restaurant next door. The drink options are perfect. Amazing selection of tequilas. Service was perfect and the ambiance just right. Definite recommend. The bar area is a decent size as for a small crowd.

I have visited this Gloria's numerous times over the years. I have always had a good experience before. But I visited this Lemmon location a few days ago. I sat at the bar with my business partner.I know the bartender was busy because the bar was full, completely understandable. I got very slow service, just to get a drink took 20 minutes, the bar can't have more than 12 seats tops. The bartender had no sense of urgency, and didn't seem to care about the slow service he was giving. It wasn't that he was behind, it was just he didn't care.

We had a great lunch. We started with margaritas and small tapas with a side of guacamole. Ray was an outstanding server.

I’ve visited multiple Gloria’s locations each has its own ambiance. This location is beautifully designed with plenty of parking in the underground garage. As for the food Everything was delicious as always. I ordered the A La Gloria enchiladas, the chicken was a little dry but edible. I’m still giving 5 stars and chalking the dry chicken up to a one off, as I have never experienced this before. Service was impeccable. And the value is very good.

Was introduced to Gloria's by family that had been there several years before. It didn't disappoint me or them. Quality service with grace and skill. Food prep, cook, and plating delightful for all senses. Interior table set ups allowed you to plenty of space around you to allow conversations at reasonable voice levels. Highly recommend for Latin cuisine done right.

This place is def nice place to have casual lunch. U can tell its still working out its kinks since its newly opened. Took about a little less then 15 min to get our 2 drinks. So we were just sitting there was just chips for that long. Our drinks and food, apps and entrees, took a while that a server, not ours, came up to us and asked if we had all ready been taken care of when in fact our whole order had all ready been taken. Our steaks were no properly cooked and not even close to correct BUT they the food was good. Our server was polite and we could tell he was kinda new so we did not sweat it. And the like I said the food and drinks were great. And the server was genuinely nice so I def will give it another try and worth the wait and the price.

The Enchanted Enchiladas of Gloria's Kingdom Once upon a time, in the mystical land of the Emerald Realm, there lay a quaint and unassuming eatery known as Gloria's. Nestled between the shimmering foliage and a bustling enterprise, its presence was as inconspicuous as a whispering breeze. Every Saturday, as the sun dipped below the horizon like a giant golden coin, the aroma of their legendary sour cream chicken enchiladas would waft gently into the air. It wrapped itself around the neighboring business with the tender embrace of a mother cradling her newborn. Like a siren's song, the enchanting scent lured the inhabitants of the nearby establishment into Gloria's, their feet barely touching the ground as if they were floating on a cloud of euphoria. Upon entering, they were greeted by the warm, cozy ambiance, reminiscent of an elven hearth glowing with the soothing light of a thousand fireflies. The walls, adorned with intricate tapestries, seemed to whisper the tales of ancient culinary magic. At the helm of this enchanted sanctuary stood Jaime, the wise and benevolent manager, who guided his team of culinary wizards with grace and poise. Together with the ever-charming bar staff, they crafted potions of liquid delight that had the power to bewitch even the weariest of souls. The moment the first bite of the sour cream chicken enchilada touched their lips, it was as if they had been transported to another realm, a place where dragons soared through the sky like graceful dancers, and unicorns frolicked in fields of emerald green. Each morsel was an adventure in itself, with tender chicken as soft as a faerie's sigh, wrapped in a blanket of corn tortilla as delicate as the finest silk spun by enchanted spiders. The harmony of flavors was like a symphony of divine enchantment, as the tangy sour cream and melted cheese interwove with a subtle heat from the enchanted chilies. It was as if the sun and moon had collided, creating an explosion of celestial delight in their mouths. As the meal concluded, they would leave Gloria's, the lingering taste of the magical enchiladas still dancing upon their tongues like stardust. With each passing Saturday, the bond between the neighboring business and the eatery only grew stronger, the memories of the epicurean delights forever etched into their hearts. And so, the legend of Gloria's and its sour cream chicken enchiladas lived on, a shining beacon of culinary delight in the enchanting Emerald Realm, where one could always find solace and warmth in the company of good friends, the enchanting Jaime and the delightful bar staff.

Elegant place but no tight dressing code. The food is authentic Mexican. Don't forget to try the churros for dessert. The waiter could smile a bit more but other than that, he was quick and efficient with the service. Great for special occasions or business.
