Small tasting room a couple doors down from Lockhart Smokehouse near Bishop & Davis. It's kind of easy to miss that it's so small. This is a cool place to bring a date or a small group of friends to try different ciders. I like going to Eno's down the street for pizza then going to Bishop Cider for drinks after. As a guy I don't like a lot of sweet stuff and they had some dry ones too. My favorite is the High & Dry and their hopped cider that's higher alcohol.
Great tap room. 6 ciders on tap and knowledgeable bartender (Shelby). Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Noticeably previous patrons were bringing family and friends to check out the offerings. Future visits are guaranteed.
Hidden gem in the Bishops Art District. Friendly helpful service. Unique flavored ciders. The crackberry is a fusion of cranberry and blackberry plus of course, apple. Six packs to take home are only $8. If you like cider or are just bored of beer, this place is worth a visit.
It's like they bottled the essence of being a hipster and you're okay with it. I feel more artsy {or maybe just tipsy} after just one sip of "cideways" and have the urge to start wearing glasses all the time and drinking espresso I can't pronounce the name of. It's strange stuff this cider, but I like it.
Love this place! My friend and I got the 8 flights and tried all the flavors. we loved the apple and rasberry ciders. Highly recommend.
I’ve been going to Bishop Cider for over five years. I have met some really interesting people that are visiting the area from all over the United States. The servers behind the bar always really cool to talk to and provide a fun laid-back atmosphere. I’ve even brought in some food to eat and enjoy with my cider. Lockhart barbecue is right next-door and it’s a favorite of mine. My only suggestion is I wish they had the growlers available to fill up. Definitely check this place out if you live around Dallas or if you were visiting also, the branch of Cidercade in Dallas, and now there is one in Fort Worth are really awesome.
Where the Cidercade idea all began. No games here, but it's where they make their cider and know it best. Very friendly staff, and like-minded visitors. Little space, little parking lot, big range of flavors.
This is the best cider creator in Texas. Most other cider makers will concoct a cider that tastes like apple, or watermelon, or some other nice fruit flavor. And some of those are great, but they aren't creative. Bishop creates blends from many different fruits and berries to create delicious mixes such as the crackberry, bananas foster, or my personal favorite the darkcide. Bishop really is the best, and I'm not sure why there isn't always a line out their taproom door.
PRICES ARE GREAT AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING!!!
Jalen was the best host, hooked us up with tasting flights, critiques and the best cider we've had in TX. Check out the crackberry and Dark Cide. Awesome cider!
First time visiting. Just stopped in for a taste and found at least four wonderful flavored ciders I really like, and the others are fine too. Some chairs and low tables would have been nicer for a more comfortable and relaxed visit. I'd like to go again. This place is large enough for a small crowd, and small enough to feel free to laugh it up with a group of friends - like a big kid's birthday party!
My hubby and I discovered Bishop Ciders at Scarborough Fair in May, and like the slogan says..."Just one sip...you're hooked" We totally were. Before we left the fair, we had researched the tasting room in the Bishop Arts District and were planning to visit. We planned a little getaway (stay-cation) to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary last weekend, and found a Groupon for the Ultimate Flight. We got to taste all 8 Ciders on tap that day, and enjoyed them all (2 weren't our favorites, but they were still good). The sweet gal tending bar was an absolute doll. She was so kind and attentive to everyone. She really made the place feel special. We had to come back on our way back to Fort Worth the next day to pick up a sample case of ciders because as of right now, we can only get 2 flavors near our house. Our next visit to the Dallas area will include a visit to the Cidercade. That sounds fantastic!
Cool spot in the heart of Bishop Arts. I am not a huge cider guy, but came across a great deal on Groupon so tried this place with a couple buddies. Can’t particularly say I’ll be coming back soon, but I would recommend the place if you like ciders! Really enjoyed the pineapple one.
We were here Wednesday night and loved it!! Such a cute little place and I didn't get her name who was working that night but she was so fun and knowledgeable!! Definitely would recommend and will be back next time we're in the area!!
