We just held a family reunion dinner for 39 people there. The staff was a dream to work with, and the fajita buffet was exceptional. Some of the best Mexican food I have had lately.
We have been eating here for years. It is a much loved family favorite. Their food is so fresh and delicious. The wait staff is always very courteous and thorough. If you like to spice things up, ask for the habanero salsa. They also make their own mixes for adult beverages. Enjoy!
I dined here with friends, I am not typically eating many vegetables, and we had fun picking out things not too spicy. The food was amazing, and the it was a fun vibe. I ordered things plain and they were .. without any attitude. It was really great food, and I would go back for the fun atmosphere too. Don't miss out.. delish.
I just love this place. I only come for the beef fajitas, and am never disappointed. The new chocolate pinata dessert looks amazing. Definitely will come back to try that. It has gotten quite pricey, but honestly, I happily pay it, especially with all the other restaurants that can't even compare.
Upper End Pricing for Decent Tastes. I like Uncle Julio, but I do not go that often. The prices are hefty and the taste does not match the pricing. The food is decent. My go to dish is the chicken quesadilla. The chips and salsa are enjoyable. Probably the best thing about Uncle Julio's is the decor. It has a very open and inviting atmosphere. Be prepared for a wait at peak eating times.
Go for the fajitas! Enchiladas are good too. As for drinks I love the guava margarita or the swirl - ask for a "reverse" swirl if you want it a bit stronger :)
Tex Mex Patio of the Rich & Famous. Long weekend lunches on the patio here when the weather is fine are great when you want to see and be seen rubbing shoulders with Dallas elite. Food here is as good as Lemmon, but the service is not always top notch. I don't mind the slow service, though, just put me down for another Swirl margarita and I'm good.
Went there for dinner last night with JM. We had an awesome dinner and our server was great. Carne Asada the best.
Umm I love this place! Their fajitas are the best that I've had in Dallas. The service is good. A little on the pricier side for Tex-Mex but worth it. I only wish they weren't so stingy with the hot sauce.
Good Food & Fun Atmosphere. I came here many times when I was younger. I couldn't tell you how many times really.
I remember my Dad teasing me about how he was going to order the frog legs and not let me order my kids meal.
The waiters were always really fun and delivered great service. The food was good too, although I wouldn't say it's the BEST Mexican I've had, it's still great.
Their sopapillas are awesome, so make sure to grab some and smother them in honey after your meal.

Not so much. Fingerlicks: 6.5
Table-side manner: 6
Uncle Julio's queso is 'so-so' at best and ridiculously overpriced. Salsa is alright, and the guacamole is pretty good, albeit overpriced as well. Their enchiladas, tamales, and quesadillas are all par for the course as far as mexican fare goes. Nothing extremely outstanding, but still good. Staff is usually friendly, however wait times can get a bit lengthy, so you might opt to sit in the bar area or outside on a busy night. Sip on a Swirl signature drink or a Passion Fruit Margarita, as those are the most frequently requested libations at Uncle Julio's.
The food here is always delicious! The service is always great! Thanks, Chris, for the service and the smile! You even made sure I was ok with my seafood allergy. Great food for my friend's birthday! I'm definitely coming back to this location!
Great Food for dinner. Tried crab and shrimp enchiladas, quesadillas, chocolate desert and cocktails. Food tastes fresh and service was excellent
Would definitely recommend to try atleast once
An old mainstay of Dallas for a tex-mex experience. Classic offerings at a reasonable price. I found the chicken enchiladas very tasty with the beef enchiladas a close second. The salsa is robust with only the slightest hint of heat.
Great place!
Want to try their $35 dessert next time.
Good food. Good service. Good pricing. Good atmosphere!
I'm visiting Dallas this week while on a work trip down the street. Traditionally stick within a block or two of my office or hotel, but one of my peers brought a vehicle to town and we drove a little bit further away. And a little bit is all we had to drive. This location is only a couple miles from where I'm working this week.
Very classy looking two story large building with plenty of parking in a non-congested neighborhood.
Service staff looks good and is dressed well and communicates well.
I would definitely return. Which may be as early as next month when I come back to town.
I enjoyed my happy hour house special margaritas. The chips was very thin and crispy crunchy. Service was good, Festa salad was fresh and portion was big.
Our server, Victor, was just fantastic! Friendly, helpful and on top of everything!
The menu is kind of limited. Not a real big fan of cold tortilla chips with salsa. I ordered the taco salad. It was okay.
Ambiance was really lovely, but incredibly loud. They offer outdoor seating but not too many people want to sit out in 109 degrees.
Had combo fajitas and a blueberry margarita. It was good the pinto beans were my favorite part, had wonderful flavor. I would recommend this place if you are in Keller Springs.
On Sat Dec 2, 2023 was my first time at Uncle Julio's. The food was delicious and the service was great. Everyone in my party was full and happy. We talked about how good the food was on our way back to East Texas.
Came here with a party of 15+ and the staff handled us very well! The food was amazing and came out to perfection. Everyone was satisfied with their orders. Thank you to the staff!
I Truly Enjoy My Visits At Uncle Julios. They Always Make Me Feel At Home. Great Service, Great Food!
