Let's be honest, I've never had Italian food like this anywhere else. We had brushetta, the Randy White ravioli's, and this amazing side salad. For dinnerI had the veal piccata with spaghetti and meatballs. Absolutely scrumptious. Glenn (our awesome waiter) convinced me to take home their chocolate cake. OMG!!!! Baked and frosted to perfection. I'll be in Dallas for another 2 weeks. I'm definitely going back. P.S. The ambience is the coolest. I felt like I was in a setting of an old Italian movie. It was the coolest place.
This best place in town the family is great they have the best food ever and make you feel like you at home yes Love this place
Great nostalgia atmosphere. Got there early for lunch and it filled up quickly. Service was wonderful and had the lunch special. Spaghetti meatball, raviolis, lasagna with meat sauce. Side salad too. And that bread, fageddaboudit.
Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items. Quite the history about this place if you don’t know look it up or ask. Very cool
Yes, the place is dark, but it adds to the fun that is Campisi's. Let me start by saying Courtney was awesome. My wife and I ordered the lunch Pasta Combo and a medium pepperoni and hamburger pizza. Well.....that was way too much food. We could have easily shared either the pasta combo or the pizza. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and delicious. Although we were stuffed we had to order dessert. The tiramisu was so good that we actually ordered 2. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a must go restaurant if you are anywhere in the area. The food is amazing, the history of the restaurant is super cool and the people that work there are great people. I highly recommend and will be going whenever I am in Dallas. It is only 1 of 3 locations in the area that has stood the test of time and culture. You won't be disappointed.
The best lasagna I have ever had. Calm atmosphere with a real energy that can’t be replicated. Exquisite service. They make you feel like family. The flavors are worth traveling for.
Great food and awesome atmosphere. Went here for lunch, they have a great lunch special for a small 2 topping pizza and a salad. Perfect lunch and I’m sure it’s awesome for dinner as well.
1st time here was for a family member's birthday. It's was dark, quiet, and empty for a Saturday evening. The service was friendly & accurate but excruciating slow. We had appetizers and plenty of entrees. Everything was good. Nothing stellar.
I ordered pizza delivery too and the pizza arrived at the time noted on the website.
A co-worker suggested we eat here when we were in Dallas, and we’re glad we did. We ate about 3PM on a Saturday. It was not too crowded, and the service was great.
We started off with Joes Special Garlic Toast (side of tomato sauce) which we really enjoyed. For our mains we had Chicken Parmigiana and a small pizza with pepperoni and sausage. The chicken parmesan was hot and tasty. The pizza had a thin crust and was the perfect size. We really liked it too.
Very happy we stopped by!
What's not to say about a legendary Dallas eatery that feels so historic that Jack Ruby could walk through the door? The classic Italian restaurant decor of small booths and tables with a candle and red leather seating combined with a (non-functional) jukebox kiosk is charming enough, but the music was 70s pop adding to a retro feel.
I've been getting the combo plate from the Parker location for 20 years so the food wasn't a revelation. That said, having been a while since I'd had Italian, it really hit the spot.
There was a bit of a delay between my being seated and greeting my server. It was mid-afternoon, I didn't say anything since I totally understand and she was wonderful afterwards. Checking in on me repeatedly, listening to my tale as Dallas resident and showing me the dining room with all the photos.
I cannot recommend Campisi's Egyptian enough.
I absolutely love the decor and atmosphere!! First time visiting but it will NOT be my last visit. Where do I begin the host and server were very friendly. We ordered an appetizer (Campisi's Famous Shrimp Scampi) which was full of flavor in every bite. It was so good I was dipping the freshly baked bread in the sauce.....can you say YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY GOOD TO MY TUMMY!! The owner Jimmy actually came to our booth to check on us, which was impressive as not many owners are on location let alone introduce themselves!! Jimmy was very friendly and told us we'll always have a table just give him a call and he'll have it ready for us. We ordered a large hamburger, green onion and mushroom pizza/piece of Heaven!! The ingredients were fresh and used real ground beef and cheese. The crust was delicious and had the right amount of crispiness to it. Everything was like a party in your mouth.
Stopped there after the auto show. Very good Italian food. Old world charm. Been there since 1946. Was originally the The Egyptian and they couldn’t afford to take the sign down. It soon became part of the place.
