Excellence!! We were nicely greeted upon arrival and certainly enjoyed our evening at Eddie V's of Dallas. Our expert waiter was Mr. Ian and he did not disappoint! He helped to make our anniversary dinner superb! He provided us with excellent selections for our dining pleasure. The entrees were seasoned well and were delectable. I chose the Shrimp w stuffed crab and my hubs selected his fave the Sea Bass. Yum! We always begin with the adequately proportioned Crab Cake, one of the best in the area!! Hands down. During our evening, we had the pleasure of also meeting Mr. Chris (Mgmt) who came to ensure that we were enjoying our Eddie V experience! When I tell you that they hit the mark of professionalism and customer centric service, it is a material fact! Our Old Fashion drinks were presented nicely and were smokey and tasty! The very is very good with nice size servings. The size can be split among two people. The drinks were very good and the service was great. The atmosphere so comfortable and I'm a little bit music that was being performed by a live band.

My boyfriend took me here for a late birthday dinner and they did not disappoint! I showed up and there was a card waiting for me along with birthday confetti spread around the table. The crab cake, oysters and jumbo shrimp were delicious! Our waiter was apologizing for the wait, but I felt like he was very attentive and there wasn’t any wait. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I especially loved the birthday dessert at the end!

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff went above and beyond! When we were seated, we had a card waiting for us with happy anniversary wishes and the table was decorated! The service was nothing short of superb and Miguel our host was amazing! The banana foster is the best 👌! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend!

Went to celebrate an engagement! Food was great with excellent service! I think it's a little bit over priced. My wife and I had 1 appetizer, 2 surf and turf, 4 cocktails and dessert $400 with added gratuity of 6! I didn't see or ask what the other 2 couples bill came out to be but I can imagine!

I had higher expectations for this place considering the reviews. Everything was good but not great. The ambiance was underwhelming, the menu seemed light, and I loved our server but she wasn’t that enthusiastic about the menu. I was going to order the lobster but she never mentioned it so I decided on the fillet which was average.

Always the best dinning experience! Our waiter Kelton, was awesome, and attentive! I had Chililean Sea Bass Hong Kong Style! And of course a Cranberry Mule! My mom had the Jumbo Shrimp and Lobster Tail! My cousin had New York Strip Steak! My sister had the Sea Bass! Of Course the food waa Fabulous!

Romantic, and I'd say the true definition of fine dining ! This is the perfect date night spot.
Our party came after dinner for drinks. If you drink old fashion, you will get a show. The aroma from the old fashion left a lasting impression on me. The band played until after 10 pm.
Fatima served us, and she was awesome! Even surprised us with dessert!

We had dinner for our anniversary and Eddie V's was definitely the best choice! From the moment we walked in the level of hospitality was felt and unmatched anywhere else. From the maître d, to Kyle, our server, to the delicious food, everything was absolute perfection. We were sat at a beautiful table decorated to celebrate our anniversary. The hand written note was such a special touch. Kyle's knowledge and charming charisma made ordering a breeze. The filet and lobster is easily the way to go when ordering. Lean meat with a succulent South African lobster tail. *chefs kiss* The au gratin potatoes were absolutely to die for! Don't pass on the bananas foster, wow! This was such a special treat, we will definitely be back! Thank you so much for making our night so special!!

Eddie’s is such an elegant and classy steak and seafood restaurant. You can never go wrong when dining at Eddie’s.
We got to try the shellfish tower this time and really enjoyed it. The price of it was very fair!
We shared the 22 oz bone in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection… exactly what we requested. We paired it with a red wine suggested by one of the managers, which tasted great!

It was my husband and I first time eating at Eddie V’s to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and they did not disappoint!! The entire experience was FIVE STARS! Our table was decorated so beautifully with roses and a handwritten card from the staff! The food was just amazing and delicious! What amazing Thanksgiving meal! Excellent service from Bobby..we got both the Holiday set menu as well as steaks from the regular menu. Everything was outstanding and they didn't rush us out. just a lovely family meal. Try the smoked Old Fashioned!

Overall a very enjoyable experience. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for a spur of the moment birthday celebration. We sat at the bar and ordered from the happy hour offerings. We were treated like royalty and the food and drinks were exceptional.<br/>I will not hesitate to return.

Talk about darkness! It was like walking into a nightclub in the middle of the day. My eyes had to adjust and it hit me completely off-guard. Not what I was expecting for a Mother's Day Brunch. The food, however overpriced; was a completely different story. My steak melted in my mouth. No, it did not look pretty on my plate. I don't know what they were going for stylistically when they decided to place that great big old glob of an egg on top of the steak. But somehow the flavors of the steak and the egg really worked together. I definitely would order another steak from this place...

It is difficult to write about the devastating experience we had at Eddie V's Saturday night, partly because it started off great, but quickly slid into an abyss. <br/><br/>Highlights: awesome atmosphere we got to see others experience from our overlit, personality bereft, TV's-on-the-wall, pseudo-conference-room-sports-bar purgatory, as our waitress basically insulted me, pushed things we didn't want then gave us judgmental looks when we opted for something different, rushed our order so our mains showed up 8 nanoseconds after we started our salad, blamed the kitchen for moving too fast, asked if they wanted us to put them back under a warmer (REALLY!?), got scared and basically stopped showing up at our table until the bill was presented, never once acknowledging any of it in a meaningful way or offering anything to make amends. Yes, dear server, I'm talking about you and this was SUCH a terrible experience that Hell will become the ice hockey center of the universe before I set foot near an Eddie V's again. All reinforced by our driver on the way BACK to our hotel, saying that he's heard similar complaints from other hotel customers and would recommend a number of other similarly priced yet more consistently upscale establishments in the area. <br/><br/>All that said, the food was good, but destroyed by the experience, the attitude and the fact that we had to wolf down our salads to start the mains before they got cold. <br/><br/>So sad. That's a lot of money I'll never see again. But I've got a great story to tell everyone that will listen.

Delicious food, great service, $106 total for two WITH food left to take home. And we eat a lot haha.<br/><br/>First, they gave us the complimentary bread with butter and chives and paprika. I personally felt like the bread crust was extremely tough, and a little painful to eat. My only complaint for the evening.<br/>We got the batter fried oysters (sooo gooood). It comes with 5 oysters that are fried to perfection.<br/>I ordered the halibut filet and my boyfriend got the swordfish steak. Both extremely delicious with great flavors for compliment.<br/>Our waiter was nice enough to explain that the meat entrees are a la carte and would probably need a side dish (so we don't go hungry!)<br/>The two sides we got were the fried rice and the beets with candied pecans.<br/>Since it was his birthday, we got a complimentary dessert of choice (Godiva chocolate cake) with happy birthday written on the plate.<br/><br/>Definitely good for a special occasion dinner. Not as pricey as some other places may be. We didn't get a four course dinner, but it was definitely satisfying.<br/>

I know that Eddie V's is heavy on the fresh seafood but those steaks here rival many steakhouses in Dallas. I've celebrated many birthdays here. They have the right mix of good ambience, jazz and excellent food. My kids usually share a filet mignon. I love the lighter seafood dishes. Something for everyone. And the staff are friendly, accommodating and so kind to kids

Once this place opened 2 plus years ago, I wanted it to be successful and I went three or four times a week.<br/><br/>It was so awful, so inconsistent and so fraught with poor service attitude, I swore the off.<br/><br/>Tonight after more than a year off, I shout.... Anniversary Night. The front staff were wonderful and courteous. They had prepared our table for our anniversary celebration in a corner of the dining room and covered it with rose petals and a nice card. The complimentary amuse-bouche was delightful, shrimp with dill on a fresh slice of cucumber. The specialty cocktails were very good. My wife had the Vesper Martini and I had the Modern Margarita, both were delicious and we had seconds. <br/><br/>We started with the Calamari and were startled with the large portion. The presentation was abundant and it was very tasty. It did taste as though it had been fried in oil that had cooked beef, it was a fun kind of "surf and turf" in a subliminal way. <br/><br/>The fish was delicious but the bone in rib eye was to die for! Seared and extremely hot outside and rare to medium rare in the middle, perfect!<br/><br/>The Banana's Foster is worth coming for alone.<br/><br/>The staff had trouble clearing between courses. It was like there was a communication issue between the front and the kitchen. It left our table cluttered with dishes and and courses were served before the table was set. Annoying and unprofessional.<br/><br/>Jazz was playing in the lounge and the restaurant was comfortable and romantic. I always consider it a bit too dark when the waiter has to use a flashlight to show you the menu or check your steak.<br/><br/>We had a great time and will definitely go back.

Very nice place....hesitated to go because of the negative review.. Had a great Saturday date night at this Eddie V's. We'd dined at the one in Fort Worth and it was awesome, but we hesitated to go because of the negative "professional" review. Read my lips: Great food, cool ambience. We had wine (above average, not pricey) oysters (fresh!) redfish, steak, sides (goood) and the bananas foster (tasty, but too sweet). We were seated in a great location, just above the V Lounge where we could hear the Victor Cager Jazz Quartet (perfect jazzy vibe), and see the mingle action without having to be in it. This was a perfect experience. Go. Enjoy. :-)

Typical steakhouse. I was Austin few years ago and was invted to Eddie V. I said how good can it be with name like Eddie V's but it was awesome. However, since there are so many great steakhouses in Dallas this seems to much like a chain. Food is fine drinks are fine but place is typlically dark and nothing really diiferentiates it from all the other steakhouses.
