Did Eddie V's for Thanksgiving. Very nice place, great ambience and service. We both had seafood, which was very good. Great blue point oysters. A little pricey but I would definitely go back.
Overall a very enjoyable experience. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for a spur of the moment birthday celebration. We sat at the bar and ordered from the happy hour offerings. We were treated like royalty and the food and drinks were exceptional.
I will not hesitate to return.
You could not asked for a better place to stay on Christmas eve! FOOD WAS FANTASTIC and INCREDIBLE SERVICE! We all enjoy our dishes . Portions are very generous.

Delicious food, great service, $106 total for two WITH food left to take home. And we eat a lot haha.
First, they gave us the complimentary bread with butter and chives and paprika. I personally felt like the bread crust was extremely tough, and a little painful to eat. My only complaint for the evening.
We got the batter fried oysters (sooo gooood). It comes with 5 oysters that are fried to perfection.
I ordered the halibut filet and my boyfriend got the swordfish steak. Both extremely delicious with great flavors for compliment.
Our waiter was nice enough to explain that the meat entrees are a la carte and would probably need a side dish (so we don't go hungry!)
The two sides we got were the fried rice and the beets with candied pecans.
Since it was his birthday, we got a complimentary dessert of choice (Godiva chocolate cake) with happy birthday written on the plate.
Definitely good for a special occasion dinner. Not as pricey as some other places may be. We didn't get a four course dinner, but it was definitely satisfying.
Really great happy hour! Came a couple of weeks ago and had a little of everything as you can see. Total tab?! Under $80 with a few drinks. Bartender was friendly and the live music was so fun! $1 oysters 😍
I know that Eddie V's is heavy on the fresh seafood but those steaks here rival many steakhouses in Dallas. I've celebrated many birthdays here. They have the right mix of good ambience, jazz and excellent food. My kids usually share a filet mignon. I love the lighter seafood dishes. Something for everyone. And the staff are friendly, accommodating and so kind to kids
I took my fiance here for his birthday. We had the most amazing experience from the valet thru to desert. I will highly recommended and we will be returning soon.
My husband had the oscared fillet. Best we've ever had! And we have had many... I had ahi tuna. Excellent! But I had fillet envy...

Anniversary Night. The front staff were wonderful and courteous. They had prepared our table for our anniversary celebration in a corner of the dining room and covered it with rose petals and a nice card. The complimentary amuse-bouche was delightful, shrimp with dill on a fresh slice of cucumber. The specialty cocktails were very good. My wife had the Vesper Martini and I had the Modern Margarita, both were delicious and we had seconds.
We started with the Calamari and were startled with the large portion. The presentation was abundant and it was very tasty. It did taste as though it had been fried in oil that had cooked beef, it was a fun kind of "surf and turf" in a subliminal way.
The fish was delicious but the bone in rib eye was to die for! Seared and extremely hot outside and rare to medium rare in the middle, perfect!
The Banana's Foster is worth coming for alone.
The staff had trouble clearing between courses. It was like there was a communication issue between the front and the kitchen. It left our table cluttered with dishes and and courses were served before the table was set. Annoying and unprofessional.
Jazz was playing in the lounge and the restaurant was comfortable and romantic. I always consider it a bit too dark when the waiter has to use a flashlight to show you the menu or check your steak.
We had a great time and will definitely go back.

We'd dined at the one in Fort Worth and it was awesome, but we hesitated to go because of the negative "professional" review. Read my lips: Great food, cool ambience. We had wine (above average, not pricey) oysters (fresh!) redfish, steak, sides (goood) and the bananas foster (tasty, but too sweet). We were seated in a great location, just above the V Lounge where we could hear the Victor Cager Jazz Quartet (perfect jazzy vibe), and see the mingle action without having to be in it. This was a perfect experience. Go. Enjoy. :-)

Excellence!! We were nicely greeted upon arrival and certainly enjoyed our evening at Eddie V's of Dallas. Our expert waiter was Mr. Ian and he did not disappoint! He helped to make our anniversary dinner superb! He provided us with excellent selections for our dining pleasure. The entrees were seasoned well and were delectable. I chose the Shrimp w stuffed crab and my hubs selected his fave the Sea Bass. Yum! We always begin with the adequately proportioned Crab Cake, one of the best in the area!! Hands down. During our evening, we had the pleasure of also meeting Mr. Chris (Mgmt) who came to ensure that we were enjoying our Eddie V experience! When I tell you that they hit the mark of professionalism and customer centric service, it is a material fact! Our Old Fashion drinks were presented nicely and were smokey and tasty! First off, I want to say thank you to our server, Sidney, for the exceptional service. Chris, the manager, was attentive to how the food was and the service. You guys truly made my wife's birthday feel special, thank you again for your phenomenal service and going over and beyond! Oh and by the way the food was exquisite!!!
The very is very good with nice size servings. The size can be split among two people. The drinks were very good and the service was great. The atmosphere so comfortable and I'm a little bit music that was being performed by a live band.
My boyfriend took me here for a late birthday dinner and they did not disappoint! I showed up and there was a card waiting for me along with birthday confetti spread around the table. The crab cake, oysters and jumbo shrimp were delicious! Our waiter was apologizing for the wait, but I felt like he was very attentive and there wasn’t any wait. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I especially loved the birthday dessert at the end!
We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff went above and beyond! When we were seated, we had a card waiting for us with happy anniversary wishes and the table was decorated! The service was nothing short of superb and Miguel our host was amazing! The banana foster is the best 👌! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend!
Went to celebrate an engagement! Food was great with excellent service! I think it's a little bit over priced. My wife and I had 1 appetizer, 2 surf and turf, 4 cocktails and dessert $400 with added gratuity of 6! I didn't see or ask what the other 2 couples bill came out to be but I can imagine!
The service was excellent and the table was set up perfectly to celebrate my birthday in style. The food was amazing as well!

We were so pleased with our experience here during Christmas time. We had an outstanding waiter, Ian, who provided us with the best service. From being personal and kind to being knowledgeable regarding the entire menu, we were so glad to have had him as our waiter during our meal. I had higher expectations for this place considering the reviews. Everything was good but not great. The ambiance was underwhelming, the menu seemed light, and I loved our server but she wasn’t that enthusiastic about the menu. I was going to order the lobster but she never mentioned it so I decided on the fillet which was average.
