Shogun Japanese Grill And Sushi

Great service and great food! They have a variety of sushi dishes. The food was great, the atmosphere seems authentic. There was this issue that I got one less sushi roll in my plate and the manager noticed this and asked what he could do to make it right and then suggested to give me an extra salmon roll. This attention to detail is what makes a good restaurant because it shows that the people that work there care about the way the restaurant presents itself. This small gesture of hospitality shows me the kind of restaurant this is and I definitely recommend and will come back!

Hey guys, I'm really not a fan of hibachi. I've been to a few, some good some not so good. I just don't like the wait to get your food during the show. I just want to eat as soon as can. Regardless this place was nice and clean. Really don't wait to long for a table and get drinks. Really quick. The cook arrived and said hello and got started. Very friendly, funny, and presentable. He had us well involved and cooked everything pretty quick. Food was good, just a bit salty. We were all happy and satisfied. I will definitely come back, but next time I will just sit at the bar. So please come by if you like hibachi and sushi. Prices are reasonable.

Apparently if you're 11 you're NOT allowed to order a kids meal because it's age restricted up to 10 years old. Why they think an 11 year old can eat a adult meal is beyond me. Not only that, the waitress just walked away while we're still ordering our appetizers and we felt she tried to rush us out the door. The chef forgot to provide the dipping sauces, the onions (which were left burning on the grill), the rice bowls. I will try other places before I consider coming back here.

Chicken was cut so small it was dried out or a day old, there was no chicken to the chicken. Soup tasted like beef broth. Ginger salad was like water. Shrimp was cold. Rice was warm and had a good flavor. Sushi was good but only 5 pieces for $15? Water taste like sewage, even lemons didn’t drown it out. Service soooooo painfully slow. Not personable. First and last time here. Unfortunate cause I really wanted to like this place.

Spent $200 last evening for to go order. Sushi Combo and rolls seemed very stale and fish was slimy like it had been prepared a day or two earlier. H‑E‑B has better sushi than what we had last evening. Hibachi steak tasted stale as well. Chicken was the best part of the meals we got. Also, appetizer we ordered was wrong.
