Romero's Las Brazas

We have always enjoyed eating here, but after our experience we will not be returning. My mother in law ordered a create your own plate where she got the choice of three items from their list. When her plate arrived, one of the items was incorrect and instead of our server (Nayeli) grabbing the plate and returning it to the kitchen to get fixed. She grabbed the item with her bare hands off the plate to take back to the kitchen. I was disappointed with the lack of respect and sanitary protocols. Do better.

Our family eats at Romero's Las Brazas often. Roberto recommended that we try the enchiladas and steak special tonight. My goodness, it was excellent! Our food arrived quickly after we ordered. My special offered a delicious cheese enchilada, a savory chorizo and potato enchilada, a large, tender and succulent steak topped with grilled onions, with rice and beans, and as many tortillas as I cared to order. It arrived hot on a large platter, and was attractively arranged. Sometimes, Mexican food tastes good, but doesn't look pretty. At Romero's your meal is always presented well. Everything was served beautifully by a friendly and attentive wait staff. If you haven't tried Romero's yet, you should. I will be your new, favorite Mexican restaurant.

Ordered 4 large margaritas, 2 orders of fajitas. Each order was per 2 people. Only gave us 1 small sauce for all of us to share. Got the tab after we had finished was about $115. We had leftover meats, but not enough tortillas so we asked for extra. Asked for 3 tortillas, waiter printed another receipt and charged 40cents per tortilla. We asked how come we spent over $100 and still had to charge us for 3 tortillas. Since we asked he took it off the tab. Didn't get water refills BTW. Food is good, but will not come here again due to lack of service and tried to charge extra. Ps. The alcohol and food tax were separate on the bill.. never seen that before but okay.

I ordered a $36 dollar meal and got 2 ounces of salsa with my meal. I called and asked them to send additional salsa that I had already paid for and the manager Liz told me she could not help me. I drove the two miles to the restaurant to complain in person and was told by Liz that salsa was complimentarily and I wouldn't be given the 8 ounces that I had already paid for. She told me salsa was complimentary and that I was not entitled to it even though I got 8 ounces in the order from the previous week. I not only was criticized by the manager as being disrespectful but that I needed to leave as I wanted her to make my meal whole. I told them I would leave after they gave me the salsa that I had already paid for. Bottom line, the manager doesn't care about their customers as she made no effort to resolve the problem, other than to give me half the salsa I had already paid for. Hard to deal with people who are not good stewards of the company's future business. She lost my future business going forward due to a 10 cent cup of salsa. I will never order any food from them again due to their disregard for the customer and the fact Liz did not even try to make my order whole. Check your take out orders as you may get shorted over pennies as this management team tries to squeeze every penny from loyal customers.

Another hidden secret. The best food ever. The sauce seals the deal. The owner greets you at your table. Ensures your meal is what you expected. Nachos are a solid choice. Enough to take care of a hardy appetite. The weekends are the Best!! Definitely if you want authentic fresh menudo!!! Don't hold back if you want perfect Mexican food. Make the drive and enjoy the journey.

First time here for breakfast. Chips were freshly made, served with 2 salsas, guacamole and spicy warm fresh red salsa, both were delicious. Had their Huevos Rancheros, came with fried potatoes, and refried beans sprinkled with fresh cheese, along with freshly homemade hot flour tortillas. Everything was very delicious, no complaints. I’m a big eater, and their portions were a bit on the small size for me, but it hit the spot, and I should be on a diet of small portions anyways. Have been here for dinner and they do serve bigger portions. If you want the real authentic Mexican as it should be prepared, and this coming from a Latina. 👌
