Being the 1st official customer at a restaurant is kinda cool. We were invited to the soft opening of De Dao Hunan Style Tapas . I have to tell you that I was very impressed with the concept and the fact that everything is made from scratch including all their noodles! The ribs were so good I wanted a bucket of them. Everything was made fresh to order and good flavors and tasty. It's kind of like a Chinese version of Chick Fila and has a drive thru too. The menu is small with a good selection including boba milk tea. I think the concept would make for a good franchise. The kitchen is open and the food came out relatively fast. Keep in mind they just opened so please be patient if they are busy. Frances Tsang is awesome. She was so sweet and hospitable. We will be back. Go give them a try and tell them I sent you. We had the privilege of having lunch there today. Some of the best Chinese food we've had here in Houston. Would highly recommend it. Very friendly and efficient staff!
