Yoko Japanese Kitchen

I came in by myself on my birthday today and my server (I should have asked her name but she's a fellow Libra, or she could be a Scorpio 🤔) her birthday is next week...she was so genuinely sweet and GORGEOUS! The Hibachi Chef (I didn't catch his name either, I'm sure they both told me, I'm just bad at names) was very nice and the food was absolutely fantastic! Thank you for a great birthday dinner!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this will be the last time we order from Yoko. We once again got our Spicy Rolls for take out - and one of them was covered in plastic wrapping? As though they forgot to unwrap something and decided to serve it anyway. On top of this, the other set of rolls was topped with significantly less salmon than the plastic ones. Considering these four rolls cost $51, that is an unacceptable experience. It isn't worth the drive back to complain, so we just won't be returning, and its a shame because we used to love this place. Original: My wife and I have ordered here lots of times, specifically the Spicy Roll. We enjoyed it quite a bit, and I would give them 4 stars, but recently their quality is dipping. The rolls are inconsistently made depending on the day, seemingly shrinking and now they've begun replacing some of the spicy tuna filling with cucumber. This definitely lowers the value you get for your money and wasn't added to the menu. I am uncertain if they will continue replacing the quality fish filling with cheaper veggies, but if the next batch we order is similarly fish deficient we'll probably sate our sushi craving elsewhere.

Visited this place on a Sunday afternoon because of its good ratings and reviews. We went there with high hopes on ambience, cleanliness, food and good service but unfortunately YOKO failed to keep up to those expectations. The ambience was okay and the food tasted good (but let me tell you they messed up my order) but the restroom cleanliness and server/service was 0 stars. The server who was assisting us seemed to be new so she didn’t know the answers to the basic menu questions (which is understandable) but I don’t think the person training her was doing a good job either. When we asked her the same basic questions she was like “Uummm I don’t know but just tell us what you want.” So I ordered Philadelphia roll with eel sauce and mango sauce separately on the side but as you can see in the picture they clearly didn’t serve me what I asked for. Then the server who was training her comes to me with the messed up order and says if I could accept it the way it is so that they don’t waste food. I ate what they gave me, paid and left. I ended up paying 35$ for 2 dishes and edamame. I did not enjoy my experience.
