Jimmy's Backyard Bbq

Not great. Prices are pretty high for the low quality. Got quarter rack of ribs, pulled pork, corn muffin, slaw, and fries; partner got the same but mac and cheese and garlic bread instead of slaw or corn muffin. Everything was very greasy. There was so much grease that the bags the meal came in had pools of grease in the bottom. Slaw, Mac and cheese (if you could call it that, was more like watery Rice Roni brand pasta), corn muffin, and pulled pork were all flavorless, the garlic bread was a stale bun with some garlic butter on it, fries were a greasy pile of mush. The only saving grace were the little bit of ribs and the sauce. The ribs were very good, flavorful, tender, and paired very well with the sauce.

I give 2 stars for customer service. The food, not so much. The pricing for the quality is just not worth it. The brisket, isn't even brisket, it's chuck, and tough at that. Mac and cheese, plastic, and potatoes are canned and sprinkled with seasoning. Plus they make sure they measure exactly what they give you, like they actually put time and effort into it... I can do better any day of the week... Thumbs down. Expected a lot more for a $30 dollar stop for 2 people...

Oh my goodness all I can say is wow. From entering until ordering!It was ABSOLUTELY amazing for upon arrival we met such a beautiful family Greeting us with warm smiles and their very friendly son let us know this was his favorite place to eat. Then we were strongly greeted by the extremely professional employees Jason and kat. We ordered the nachos, 1/2 slab family dinner. It's Definitely going to be A+on our list .Boy just like the name of one of their sauces. It will ABSOLUTELY make you wanna smack your Mama. We passed through after we finished hiking in CVNP. We were hungry and the food hit the spot. We got the loaded Mac with brisket and the chin dropper sandwich with brisket. The bread that the sandwich is on is amazing and buttery and altogether delicious, I really feel like that’s what made the sandwich! I found the brisket to be tough and dry but the rest of the food tasted great. The Mac n cheese had good flavor to it and was super cheesy. We also added coleslaw, sour cream, and bean salsa on top. I would say this is average BBQ, nothing exceptional, but it sure tasted good on an empty stomach! The staff member that I was served by was very friendly to me and I was taken aback by his genuine hospitality. I was served quickly and in & out in a matter of minutes.

Im usualy very forgiving as a customer but the Brisket and ribs were old, served from a lot of grease in the container (brisket) but still quite dry. My ribs were wrapped in a plastic wrap - old food. I was disappointed. The workers were nice. If someone else liked the food, let me know. I hope this wasn't normal. Old food.

The staff is always incredibly rude. I have given them several chances since we moved here 2 years ago because the Jimmy's we had in Mentor was great. This review, in particular, is about an order they messed up but more importantly, the treatment I was subjected to by Jason. I ordered wings for my kids and myself with SWEET sauce. I was running late for a thing, picked up my order, poured the sauce on and couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. Of course my kids wouldn't eat it either. I called to ask which sauce was marked "s" and Jason answered and told me spicy. I told him they messed up my order. He told me I could come back up and wait for a new order. I told him I was on a schedule and didn't have time for all that. He started yelling at me, told me I was unreasonable, told me I "couldn't be a customer anymore" and to "have a nice life." And then hung up on me. This place is awful and this is only ONE of the poor interactions I have had with rude staff. And the food is really not that good.

The service process need to be overhauled and an order taking system. Had to keep explaining what I ordered. There was no way to pass my order off to the next person because nothing was written down or notes. Also the Brisket was more like flavorless pulled beef with no smoke flavor. And I had to pay extra for it and the ribs on a meat platter. It was overall a really bad experience. We won't be going back.

My first experience here was catering for 10 people and it was just fantastic and I will be ordering again and again. We ordered 50 smoked wings, brisket, pork, Mac and cheese, smoked sausage, green beans and corn bread. The wings were huge (!) tender, and perfect as the go to snack. The brisket and pork were smoky, tender and delicious. The sausage was really good if you like Italian style sausage smoked (I personally prefer kielbasa smoked), the Mac and cheese uses spiral noodles which i thought was a great differentiator and made the texture great. The corn bread was tender and sweeter. All very good. Had delivered to my house. The staff were friendly, helpful, and on time.
