Food was decent the Cleveland location is a lot better. Especially for portion sizes and I preferred the tteokbokki in Cleveland. Service wasn’t great I asked for water 3 times had to keep asking for napkins and had to ask for take out dishes instead of being offered it when I obviously had most of my meal left. Prices are good for most things tho

April 2022 Update - Took away a star. Multiple empty tables, but TURNED AWAY, as I did not have more people with me. Loyalty/ repeat customer does not matter. Avoid Mondays. Feb - 2022 update. Place is busier than before, thats a good thing. Food has stayed consistent -this matters. Service is lacking due to new workers, so be patient. Original review - Real Korean chef preparing excellent food - what more can you ask for. A hidden gem in the area. Parking may get limited during busy period. Good menu with a lot of options. Some item photos are on the wall so you can see what you are getting. Atka Mackerel shown in the photo has mild taste but flavorful. Makgeolli Rice wine is good and has about 6% alcohol; perhaps bit weak if you are used to Japanese Sake. Study the menu before you get there and your experience will be better. Only complaint I have is that they give you one napkin :) This place is worth going out of your way.

The food was pretty good. But the service was pretty horrible. Was told dine in closes at 8 which was fine. But the table before us was almost done but waitress said they only just started. Also our take out for 3 people only gave us one side dish. Most things were not closed properly either. So, go early I guess

So this is my go to place for kimchi hot pot. I’ve always taken my friends there and loved it. However, this time the hot pot had a dish soup after taste. I told them and they didn’t do anything to fix it. They said it might be radish sauce that’s making it taste like dawn dish soap.... ??? it was a hot pot that feeds two. My boyfriend also tried it and had the soap after taste. The waiter said they have two cooks so the taste may vary according to that too.... -.-

pretty good food , very good. but bad service, it’s understandable to be under staffed and struggling a bit but we were hardly checked on and had to ask to get our dishes taken away and had to ask for more tea when they gave us a tiny cup. it’s more understandable since they’re young but damn. seems like common sense to check on a table here and there rather than just standing around when you’re free. I don’t want to seem mean but as someone who has worked in an understaffed food service place, the service here just ruins the experience. also, very pricey for the portion sizes they’re giving

Would give 10 stars if I could. I’ve now been here twice & it’s been insanely delicious every time. Flavors & spice are on point. Very fresh ingredients. I’ve had the beef bulgogi, the mackerel, mushroom beef soup, & the spicy pork belly & all were show stopping. And no I didn’t have them all in one visit but if my stomach could handle it, I definitely would.
The scallion pancake with squid, spicy rice cake & beef dumplings are a great way to start your dining experience.

We go to this restaurant all the time and love their food, but after tonight I don’t think we will be back. Half of the time they don’t answer their phone for carry out orders. Tonight we drove 40 minutes to eat here. We got here at 7:58 knowing it was a little late since their kitchen closes at 8:30, but the restaurant typically closes at 9 (planning to eat quickly as we knew this.) We were told they wouldn’t seat us, but we could order takeout. Their takeout usually takes over 30 minutes so at that point we would be waiting inside of the restaurant past 8:30 anyways?? Not sure why we wouldn’t be able to eat there at that point. We are pretty upset since it isn’t posted anywhere that they don’t seat people past 8 pm and wasted our time and gas.
How would anyone know that they won’t seat you past 8pm if they never answer their phone to answer any questions? We saw people getting turned away after us, not sure how a restaurant can stay open when they are turning customers away on a Friday night during their listed “open hours”. Just very disappointed after supporting them for so long.

I went here for the first time today, and I got the 칼국수 (Kal guksu) and it was unlike anything I've had before. It was quite enjoyable, and the staff was very friendly as well. Would recommend to anyone who likes Korean cuisine.
