I've had a couple of bad experiences with Rita's but that was a long time ago. New Management. The black cherry is my favorite. And I will call ahead to make sure they have it. My wife loves the custard but if she eats too much she doesn't feel good. It's a really rich and she never knows when to say when. We love this place now. Enjoy

I cannot get enough of Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard!! I could seriously eat it everyday. My favorite is the sweetie and I don't think I'll ever try anything else. The ice cream is perfectly milky and not overly sweet and the honey adds just the perfect amount of sweetness. I could also eat the honey alone anytime. and you can use the G+ check in offer as many times as you want! They also have a rewards card so if you go frequently you can eventually get one free!

Gelati (custard with ice) is the way to go - surprisingly much, much better than one would think. Highly recommend the mango/vanilla combination. Prices are a bit high and kind of disappointed the advertised "buy a gift card get a free treat" (on a sign at the checkstand) was expired - something the cashier was unaware of until AFTER I bought a gift card and he asked the manager what to do to ring up a free treat. Manager said the sign was old, was completely unapologetic and acted like I should have just known. Oh well...

Rita's is one of our favorite affordable frozen treats in the world. We first had Rita's in Maryland and couldn't have been happier to see it pop up in L.A. With Rita's, you get custard (the most delicious, creamy soft serve) mixed with different flavors of italian ice. In the beginning, it might seem weird by description, but once you have it, you'll appreciate the difference in texture and flavor that is Rita's. It's such a great treat (and it's cheap!). If it's your first time, I recommend getting a Gelati. That way, you can experience the different layers of ice, custard, and ice. If you want to mix it up, you can, but it gives you a fun burst of flavors as you're making you way through your delicious dessert.
