Great food, great atmosphere, great employees! Will definitely go again.
Highlight dishes here they were amazing and be sure to release you inner fat kid with amazing cheeseburger potstickers. The orange chicken was a let down but everything else was great. On the pricier side.
Well yesterday I ate at Chin Chin‘s on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and I ordered the exact same food today at Ms. Chi. Ms. Chi wins by a 100 yards. More authentic to flavor of Chinese Food. And less sugar.
Very clean, public parking lot nearby, good service, good cocktails! Dumplings are delicious but servings are on the spare side. $4 for 2 tiny donuts which did not live up to their reputation. Food overall is very tasty but I could have eaten more for the money. I know rents are very high in that neighborhood!
So first let me say I'm a huge fan of Chef Shirley and it took a lot for me not to completely fan-girl when I saw her. If it weren't for COVID, I certainly would have asked for a photo. Nevertheless, wow, the food was great. The Brussels are an absolute must - they were roasted perfectly and so flavorful and a bit spicy (delicious). We also had the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and salt and pepper shrimp. The food was so good we never even had the chance to take photos! We also ordered drinks which were good as well. The service was great and you can also purchase KN95 masks there! I will be back for dinner one day.
This place has been on my LA list for a while as I’m a huge Top Chef fan, and it did not disappoint! I unfortunately didn’t take any pictures because once the food came out, I just wanted to start eating it. The cheeseburger dumplings were delicious. Chef Shirley should consider selling that bacon tomato jam… we also got the orange chicken and beef chow mein, both of which were excellent. I wish I was an empty pit so I could’ve tried more from the menu. My only teensy complaint is the parking is a bit difficult, but that’s not a deal breaker by any means. I will definitely be back once we’re in LA again.
I really liked the Brussels sprouts (I can’t believe someone was able to make Brussels sprouts that I would eat!!!)…; like, alot…. The noodles were better than descent…. The only reason that I retracted 1 star, is because my wife is a super avid top chef fan and saw Shirley in the kitchen and asked the waiter if they could do a selfie. The waiter said that she is too busy. I was disappointed. Mind you…. She is a HUGE fan of top chef and we have done several pictures with top chef alumni and they are usually super cool about it…. and this is the first time that we were turned down. I get it…. balancing fans on top of kitchen duties can be super difficult but needless to say I was still disappointed… My wife looks up to Shirley big time….. all and all, restaurant was fantastic and the waiter was top notch
Such an awesome experience at Ms Chi! Obviously you have to get the cheeseburger potsticker. But beyond that the rest of the menu is just amazing.
We even had a chance to meet the chef herself which really added to the experience.
Super unique cocktail menu and I recommend you try a few!
