I have been a loyal Moving Meadows customer for two years. They have the best homemade breads, made with freshly ground flour. Their grass fed beef and goat is the best I have ever had. The pasture raised chickens and turkeys are much better than any you could buy in a chain super market.
The best part of being a customer is they treat everyone they meet like family. This is a well run family business. I would recommend them to my closest friends.
I love Moving Meadows. They make the best quality products. My personal favorites are the breads, granola, and the cheese. And, of course all the delicious baked goods. Great work guys! Keep it up.
Stopped in and got a cinnamon bun! I really enjoyed it. Wish I was not just passing through and could have gotten more there. They have a great selection of meat and bread. Also it's a beautiful store!
Five stars for the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the final products. I won't take away stars for the following, but wanted to mention that we walked by this place yesterday and didn't even think it was an open business (luckily we saw it mentioned in a review online so came back). It does not give the appearance of being an open business and it certainly didn't give us a good sense of what was in there. I would recommend someone do something more purposeful in the way of displays in the front to draw people in. It would be a shame for customers to miss out on this wonderful place.
I had the sausage and egg sandwich (the best I have ever had)! My wife's chicken salad sandwich was amazing as well! Wally took the time to discuss the history of the location and how they preserved the history of Culpeper's theater. Amazing! I will be back!
It's such a cute place to stop for breakfast or brunch! The staff is friendly, the food is yummy and the coffee is amazing! Took whole whole bean coffee and it makes a delicious cup every morning.
Best chicken sandwich I have ever had! Amazing people and customer service! They are super friendly and the place is inmaculate. Ohhh! and the coffee also superb.
Over the top quality from scratch bread and sweets. The Sticky bun is a great gift for anyone in the local nursing home. Day old homemade bread shelf is where it's at.
OMG this place is awesome!!! 😄 they have amazingly awesome and spectacular baked good, plus meat, dairy items, sauerkraut, eggs and other stuff I’m forgetting to list here. 😅 during my first visit, I bought eggs, homemade sauerkraut, orange cranberry loaves of bread, apple muffins, pumpkin bread and an egg salad sandwich. Some I haven’t tried yet but the egg salad sandwich was fluffy and delicious.
And the apple muffins are *amazing*!!! words don’t exist to describe their excellence. ☺️ I bought a box of six and I’m somewhat embarrassed to say I ate so far 5 of 6 (well, over a number of days…but still 😌) (one of those days I did eat 2…).
I went back for an online order of bread, most of which I will freeze to enjoy as time goes by.
I love this place, I love supporting local businesses and farmers, I love their baked goods and homemade sauerkraut (really good for you!) and I love that the introduction of this place into my life means I’ll have to be more disciplined about exercise and rowing machine so I can keep enjoying these goods. 🥳😅
Try them out! You won’t be disappointed 😄
My girlfriend and I stopped by after lunch for the first time and we were immediately greeted by a very kind gentleman behind the counter. I asked for some information regarding the meat selection and was happily assisted. He even offered cooking advice which I always appreciate. While we were there, we ordered a iced mocha and it was delicious for someone who prefers a stronger coffee flavor.
I ended up thawing out the New York Strips in the refrigerator and I was very surprised how fresh they looked. With the gentleman's guidance, I cooked the best steak I've ever had including high end steak restaurants.
I STRONGLY recommend this place and will absolutely be returning!
