Great time in Culpepper at this well famous establishment. Stopped by got lunch and enjoyed great cocktails and very good food. Started with the duck pate, that went amazing with the complimentary bread. It was just delicious. Followed by a steak salad and a dish of puffy pastry. All was accompanied by the nutmeg Irishman drink and ac old fashion. Done amazingly and served on point. Ended up with a single espresso and a latte and headed out pleased and smiling.

Really love the charm and warmth given off by both the decor and the staff. The food was absolutely wonderful, but service was a bit slow and communication seemed scattered between the servers. They have an interesting service concept, as they do not assign a particular server to a table, but rather everyone makes rounds and tends to all customers. While it makes for nice conversations, it also means repeating yourself a lot and seems a little inefficient. We will definitely go back, just with a little more time and patience because the food, kind smiles, and atmosphere make it worth it!

Very good service. Ambiance was nice in front of window. We had the Caprese (they called it by another name) definitely a MUST, fresh ingredients, excellent balance of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Bread was warm and very flavourful. Prime Rib was a good value. Veggies a bit over cooked, potatoes good.

My husband and I got the ham and Swiss pastry puff which was delicious! I was expecting to go to the deli/pizza here but it looks like it is being remodeled. Ended up in the restaurant and was very pleased with the flavor and service. The entree included orange chutney and was delicious!

Wow. I have never experienced better service than I have here at It’s About Thyme. I’m on a time crunch and had all of this in what felt like under 15 minutes. Someone was always available to take an order, actively wipe the table down, refill my drinks, etc. When I asked the man refilling my water for a box for my leftover dessert, the girl behind him overheard and took care of it with what looked like silence between them. I am amazed. Exactly what I needed both food wise and socially. Everyone seems so pleasant and the place was bustling. Will return!

Consistently delicious food and service. We appreciated the much needed addition of California wines to your menu. We usually order the prime rib (too good to share) - lol. We especially appreciated the 1/2-basket of warm & delicious Gluten-Free bread - YUM and THANK YOU!!!

This apparently used to be a high end restaurant. You can tell because they refuse to let you order an appetizer while you are still deciding on your entree. I don't mind that level of pretentiousness when eating at a world class location like the Inn at Little Washington. However, when the food that follows tastes like microwaved bbq sauce and watered down Kraft Mac and cheese, it feels a little out of place. It almost felt like they fired their normal chef and hired a 5 year old to do all the sauces. This is definitely on my never go back list. Not even to mention the egregious pricing. I would have preferred a microwave Kraft Mac and Cheese.

Worth it just to be in the company of the owner. In one meal, we got to know him, hear some entertaining stories and two jokes. Entirely delightful European atmosphere and menu. All delicious. Great dining experience.
