412 Public House

We stopped for dinner on a Friday evening and only had about a 15 minute wait time. The place was packed. 412 has a small but cute little patio area outside. Inside, ample seating but very close together. They had a good selection of drinks, but our complaint is that everything was priced excluding the wine menu. So, if you're not familiar with all of the bottles, you have to ask your server for all of their prices. Our waitress was wonderful and food came out pretty quick. We ordered the chartreuse board with sausage, fried pickles, and chips/pimento cheese spread which was great. The crab cake meal was well cooked and tasted good. Two in our party ordered filets with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The potatoes were extremely dry and needed more butter, not a ton of flavor. The filets were good, but not cooked to medium rare as ordered (one was rare and the other was medium). No kids menu, but they try to be accommodating. We also ordered the creme brulee cheesecake and limoncello cake which was delicious.

Experts at their craft! Purveyors of down home dining! Consider us regulars after tonight's experience. We started with the crab dip...SO much crab! I then shared the Ahi Poke Salad with my son. The poke was chee hoo quality with veggies to match. The server suggested the rainbow trout and it didn't disappoint. Believe it or not I still had room for the chocolate layer cake...sorry folks...cleaned the plate before I could snap a photo. 412 is the spot to spend hard earned money for an unforgettable meal. GREAT JOB!

We went there for lunch today and all I can say is YES PLEASE! This place does it all right. The atmosphere, the service and the food is top notch. We had the lunch special (prime rib sandwich), the guoda burger and the crab dip. Let me tell you that you will not be disappointed. The presentation, taste and portions were fantastic. It is not your typical lunch when you are in a rush or on a tight budget but it is so worth it. We didn't have any alcohol but they have a full bar. It is a small restaurant so if you are going for a dinner you might want to call ahead or the online reservations if you don't want to wait. We walked right in and even though it was very busy we were seated right away and the server was very knowledgeable of the menu and prompt with our order. I honestly think the co-owner was helping clear tables. They really want you to have a great dining experience and appreciate your business. Don't miss going to have a dining experience here even if BRANDON has hit your pocketbook.

Came up there today from Birmingham and it was totally worth the drive. Food was outstanding. Our food took a bit longer than I would have liked BUT it was obvious that each order was being made fresh as it was ordered (I had a view of the kitchen area for my seat). Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great for a girls lunch!
