The Wild Olive

Yall, this is my first time at Wild Olive... Honestly, I kinda had one eyebrow up thinking, I ain't gonna like this place. I WAS WRONG. The service was just ok but the food was REALLY good. From my Mediterranean salad, to my Ribeye to my Chesecake. I enjoyed it all. I did think I should of had more mashed potatoes with the steak, but what I had I really enjoyed. My Mom ordered the Mahi-Mahi and thought it was super delicious. I tried a piece (Im NOT a seafood fan) and it was thick and had a texture like chicken. No fishy taste at all. We took 4 desserts home. Raspberrry/ Lemon Cheesecake, Red Velvet cake, Hot Chocolate cake and a Carrot Cake. The Carrot Cake WON! It was moist and soooooo good. While we were there, a couple at our neighboring table that made conversation with us. Once our meal was over, they gave us their "school support card" to use. They saved us 15%!!! I was pleasedly surprised and highly recommend the Wild Olive. If I lived in Crestview, we'd be on a first name basis with the staff.

My family and I come here every year around Christmas on our way to see the lights in Defuniak Springs. They offer a simple menu (not too big) with great selections for the whole family. From their bread and pastas to their steak and burger you can't go wrong here. Great atmosphere with great service. Clean, friendly and delicious! This will remain our go to spot in Crestview for nice family diners for years to come.

Really nice mom and pops restaurant. With beautiful decor. Looks like someone house. The food was delicious. My wife got the southern salad with grilled shrimp and she loved it. I got the steak sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and was similarly impressed Their desserts are also super tasty and the servers are extremely helpful and friendly!

We were initially in Crestview for work as we come here a couple times out the month. We usually get some type of fast food but decided to give this place a try. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, Shrimp and grits, Carrot Cake, and tiramisu all to go.THIS HAD TO HAVE BEEN THE BEST FOOD IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!! Literally not one single complaint I will go broke spending my money on this because I will be coming here every single time I’m in town!!!

Absolute best Italian I've ever had and I've eaten Italian all over the country. The Chicken Tuscana was perfection. The sauce, the pasta, the flavorful and juicy chicken- all perfection. Deserts, salad, bread and dipping oil were all exceptional as well. Anna was our server and she took excellent care of us. Highly recommend. Wish I could give 10 stars!

We live in Baker so thought we'd try out Eagles Nest for a steak since it's close by. After a week of work we don't always want to drive out of town. Started off with smoked tuna dip and it was flavored with liquid smoke and no seasoning, then we were told they had no filet mignon. Disappointed, we just gave up and ended up at The Wild Olive. I'm glad we did. Poor Brian caught the tail end of our frustrated night out - but he was upbeat and so pleasant. All of our food was amazing. Forgot the name of the drink, but the margarita made with wine was perfect. Thanks Brian for great service. Made our date night much better.

This restaurant is a Crestview gem! We are always greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The staff make you feel as if you are family and always deliver top knotch service. The food is simply amazing. We have never had anything short of delicious. If you manage to get out the door without dessert, I suggest getting it to go.

Back on Sept 14. Finally got back to one of our favorite sit downs. Hospitality, delicious meals, atmosphere. This is just a friendly local place that celebrates good food. Crispy Brussel sprouts. Yum. Just the right amount of sweet and savory and crisp. If the server asks if you'd like bread, say yes... for the bottom of the bowl of brussel sprouts. The Sweet potato gnocchi comes with ceasar side salad. Nice an light. Salad dressing is tossed before plating, so you get a taste in every bite. Oh my. The gnocchi is so good. If you're not sure what Fall tastes like, this is a good start. The blackened Mahi sandwich has a really nice portion. Just enough lettuce tomatoe and onion. French fries we hot and seasoned like I like them. Who needs catchup, the other sauce...mmm. Portions filled us up. Maybe we should have split an entree? Nah. Take home the leftovers and enjoy again. Delicious. And taking home a slice of red velvet cake too! So good to be back at The Wild Olive! Started with the crispy brussel sprouts (topped with honey and bacon vinegrette and goat cheese), then enjoyed the backend shrimp and grits (gouda grits, bacon, green onions, Cajun butter sauce, and parmesan) and the chicken parmesan (we got the crispy chicken and it was moist and delicious) comes with capellini, marinara, provolone, and parmesan) Yum.  Pre-meal delicious bread with olive oil. Entree comes with a salad or soup. Either is going to be delightful. We had the house salad with apple vinegrette. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to be back.
