Ichiban is classic Korean food
The owner actually went to study on South Korea on the cuisine and cooking style and decided to bring it back to the US. I have to say this restaurant has become a staple in this neighborhood. The staff, owners, and anyone working there are personable people.
To the food, I highly recommend either the hot stone bibibimbap. Or the pork bulgolgi because the pork is cooked to tender where the spicy just hits really well. For the appetizer, honestly it’s a tie for me between the kimchi pancake that is make to eat there to enjoy the crispy pancake. Or the sticky wings with delicious sweet and spicy sauce. But also, the tempura vegetables are so good too.

Really enjoyed Ichiban Restaurant - it was very pleasant to dine in. Great service - unsure of the one who serve me is the owner but she was lovely. She made me and nieces feel welcome. She was attentive, inviting and warm - thank you for your lovely service. She went above and beyond by surprising my niece with a delicious mango fried ice cream! Thank you again!. In addition, the food was delicious 😋 I highly recommend this restaurant for good Korean and Japanese food! I look forward to dining here again.

Great dumpling soup, and so filling I couldn't get very far into my teriyaki beef, which was also excellent. And the service was great.

Possibly the best sushi I've had in RI. Service was awesome. Server knew what the rolls were by looking at pics on my friends phone or the last time he was there. Raw scallops were fresh and perfect.

Honestly, one of the best restaurants in RI. I'm not sure how they do it, but each time we go they raise the bar on freshness and taste. If I could rate them higher I would.

Food was very tasty, atmosphere was nice (alibi loud) and staff were friendly. We went on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. As a result, it took much longer than I would think is normal to receive our food. Perhaps it was a bad night and ill upgrade to 5 if it gets better time #2. Very delicious food though. I definitely recommend this place.

The food was very good and the wait staff was excellent. They brought special chopsticks for the kids and even gave us a an antiseptic and bandaid for the little one since she had a fall on the way in.

Hands down the best family run Japanese- Korean Restaurant in Rhode Island. Carol and Jim are superb and they always take care our family. Excellent food, excellent sushi staff and waiters. I'm Asian and I know my Asian food quite well and their food and service is top notch. I always feel welcomed and they treat us like family. Always taste like home cooked meal. A++++
