Nagoya Japanese Restaurant

Absolutely terrible. Bad service, bad food. We were not checked on once after we ordered until our food came. My wife went to the bathroom and said it was as bad as a gas station bathroom. We should have known better then. Our food took an extremely long time to come and when it finally did come out, it was cold. Everything was cold. The vegetables were mushy, the shrimp were in some gross sauce, but it was all cold. When I complained to our waitress, she said “Let me get you a to go box so that you can take it and microwave it at home.” Why would I microwave food at home that was bad in the restaurant? They gave us a 15% discount. They should have not charged us at all. I didn’t fight it—I just wanted to leave. One of the worst food experiences I have had in years. I wish we had gone anywhere but here.

Chef 👨‍🍳 was entertaining but with the size of our group I think may have been a little much for him. The waitress was not very attentive. We had to ask for refills each time we needed something to drink. Nagoya is one of my family's favorite restaurants and service has always been great, hopefully today was just an off day for the staff.

So I actually used to love this place, every time my boyfriend would come to visit me we would come here, no issues. I recently just ordered from them through door dash and when I tell you it wasn't edible.... I literally could not even keep it in my mouth, I had to spit it out. I really am not that picky with sushi, I do not know what happened to this sushi but I don't appreciate spending 40$ on 2 sushi rolls that tastes like it was rinsed in toilet water and sat in a hot car dashboard for 3 hours. I wish I was kidding. I used to love their sushi...

I’ve been here a few times now. Always a good experience. From the chef interactions to the preparation of the food it’s amazing. We have had drinks sushi and hibachi and it’s the best in town. The fried rice is worth the trip by itself. If your in Covington this would be a must stop for a delicious meal with great service.
