Family of six (4 kids) enjoyed drinks, meal, and dessert for less than $75 ( that includes tip). Fries are yummy, pasta sauce house made, carrot cake yummy and my husband loved his burger. We got refills on coffee and asked for extra mayonnaise and I was so pleasantly surprised that they don’t nickel and dime you for everything- that is such a pet peeve of mine. This will be a family favorite stop when we travel west from Marquette.

My hubby & I were getting peckish along our drive and saw the Hardwood Steakhouse so we stopped. We had the chili and a bacon cheeseburger with fries and could not have been more happy. The food was fantastic, our waitress was nice, and the locals around us were very friendly. This is exactly what we like about traveling and stopping in small town, local places!

Love this place. I currently only go here 3 to 4 times a year only because I am not a permanent resident in the area yet. Great food. The Cajun Ribeye is my go to favorite. Great bar setting. The staff is top notch and make you feel right at home. The regulars always make this establishment a fun place to make new acquaintances and share good times with friends.

This place knocked my socks off!!! Thirteen of my family walked in unannounced and they went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The food was great and not one of us had a complaint. The waitress and the cook were terrific 💯💯💯💯💯💯😁

Very nice surprise! Stopped there travelling thru Michigan. Food was amazing and well priced. One of the best walleye I’ve ever had. Kids loved the spaghetti meatballs and my wife enjoyed her steak that was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

This restaurant is rustic looking, very clean, and the employees were so welcoming! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Lots of menu options for reasonable prices. The food was outstanding and came out fast and hot! Kudos to the team at Hardwood! Would recommend to anyone traveling through the area.

What a surprising gem. It is worth the stop. Amazing food, amazing customer service, and beautiful atmosphere! Everything was perfect! The salad was one of the freshest salads I’ve had in a long time. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the garlic mashed potatoes and the Apple crisp were wonderful!

We enjoyed this place, I got the local walleye and husband got the hillbilly burger. Staff was friendly and efficient and the food came out really fast. Good prices, neat atmosphere, glad we stopped here for sure.

Friendly staff, love the cabin atmosphere, and the time from ordering to getting our dinner was crazy fast. I swear it was like 5 minutes for an appetizer, side salad, and steak dinner. But speed didn't deter quality, everything was delicious and they fixed some of their own mistakes before even serving us, giving us extra food to make up for it. Good attention to detail!
