Another suggestion by trip advisor. It was fantastic. I recommend the chicken parm with angel hair pasta!!
This place is a hidden gem. The staff, above all else, are so friendly and passionate about the food they serve. And the food… my goodness, words fail to describe how authentic everything tasted. I highly recommend this place for party’s or for an intimate night out.
Great tiny spot! Met a friend for lunch and we had delicious food, great service, and a decent wine list! We'll be back to try more menu items 😀
My husband and I were on a trip to Southern California and we literally stumbled upon this restaurant. The food and service were absolutely awesome. We will definitely return next time we are in the area. I highly recommend.
Found this place randomly just driving through the area and I'm so glad that I did. Our waiter was super friendly and joked around with the kids. The kids shared a pizza and a Cesar salad and I had the mushroom linguine. The kids enjoyed their meal and we all LOVED mine. We live in San Diego, but will definitely visit this place again when we're up here.
Oh, and there's a small market attached to the restaurant which sells various meats, cheeses, desserts, and other Italian goodies. And Gelato! This place is awesome!
I don't usually give five stars, but Filomenas earned every bit of it! The food was literally some of the BEST Italian I've ever tasted. The meatballs are amazing - filled with flavor! The meat pizza is delicious - tasty homemade crust with the perfect mix of ingredients. We also loved the lasagna which had great flavor and cohesion throughout. Lastly I highly recommend trying the ricotta cheese cheesecake - the hint of citrus and lemon zest with the amaretto graham cracker crust far exceeded my expectations. My wife also enjoyed the lemon and strawberry gelato. Overall it was a fabulous experience, including the attentive service from the staff. We definitely plan to visit again in the future.
Stopped on my way back to N.Y.C. from a business trip. Being from Brooklyn N.Y. I am an Italian food aficionado and this place is the real thing. I bought some food from the Market stuck it into a cooler and can't wait for friends to taste it.
Run don't walk, go thru red lights (only kidding) to this excellent restaurant.
I had the most exceptional experience at Filomena's Italian restaurant the food is a five-star the service is amazing they also have a quaint deli and bakery where they make their food fresh daily have gelato also they have just expanded their restaurant so now there's more seating for the very high requested restaurant I would recommend make a reservation. It's atmosphere is welcoming and classy.
By far one of the best Italian Restaurants in OC, home made pasta makes a big difference. If you’re looking for authentic Italian Food at reasonable prices, then this is the place to go. Wine selection was nice and diverse. Service was great, make sure to have a reservation bc kitchen closes at 8:00 pm and they’ve limited seating. We also tried their Tiramisu which I highly recommend.
First time here and we were VERY impressed! Started with Cesar salad and it had LOTS of shaved parm cheese and the perfect amount of dressing..I had the spaghetti meatballs w/ Sunday sauce. Wow their Sunday sauce is the best I've had! My husband had the lasagna which had outstanding flavor in the sauce and ricotta cheese. Save room for gelato! They actually had spumoni!! We also picked up some premade meals and ordered a charcuterie board for a sunday event! Would highly recommend you try this restaurant!!
