My steak sandwich was great, and the french onion soup we ordered for our daughter was tasty as well. This location has plenty of parking and offers curbside pickup.

With the drive-by pick up one may park, call, order and wait or with the app you set your faves and just park and pick up it's a brilliant idea so far. And who can miss out on the reward points which eventually gets you to come back and see what reward item will be next. Panera's unique flavors that come from their freshly baked breads and their seasonal fresh ingredients combine brings a healthy meal. Yumm.

Caring staff! We placed an online order for delivery, and the driver forgot my much needed cup of coffee. I called the restaurant, and they asked if I lived close which I said I did, but couldn't come grab it because our family had covid.. The gentleman on the phone said no problem, he would personally delivery it. Minutes later, I found a carafe of coffee with cream and a bag of scone treats on our front porch with a note that said "Get better soon! Love, Panera Costa Mesa" What a great community we live in.... and our Panera makes it that much sweeter!

Great Location! The leading positive with this Panera Bread is it's proximity to Newport Beach. Other than that, it feels like your typical Panera without Drive through service. This one lost a star due to its unkept restrooms. Really needed revamping or renovation.

Panera bread is my go to place when I get off late from work and I don't feel like cooking. Great sandwich, soup and salad selection. Rapid pickup is awesome and their rewards program actually means something.

Love going to this local Costa Mesa Panera on 17th. The parking lot can be busy with cross traffic. We park in the area closest to 17th proper if we can. Easier and safer on exit. Very cool in the front al fresco patio if you like outside. On entry, there are tons of booths and nooks for semi private dining. Have never just purchased bread but its there with several types on offer. They will as a courtesy slice the bread too. We often opt for the 2 for 2 option, this is like a 1/2 sandwich and soup or salad or any mix really of two they offer. A very wide selection of choices are available. Great value if you're a just the usual person. Or maybe like me you opt for soup and sandwich variety of choices quite often. Unless I'm in a salad mood. Specific to this location, staff and Mgmt have been very kind and nice to us. Having worked restuarant before I often say a smile or small kindness is a big seller for customer service and does not cost extra for labor, really. Last, I mention the beverage choices here of note are the low cane sugar offerings. Freshly made and I've seen them making fresh and cleaning the area. In a world with 80% of the common market full of corn syrup, these choices are appreciated. In the back two non gender bathrooms, I've found the mens on half a dozen visits clean and full stocked. If you're local please try them, worth the visit.

The cashier was very patient with the elderly lady ordering in front of me. They are pleasant and helpful. The food is good, although I would suggest getting the dressing on the side so your lettuce isn't drown.
