I don't know if we came in on an off day or what. I think the best way to describe our food was that they only made half an attempt to make the food healthy and we just got the worst of both worlds as a result. They must have used zero butter or oil to cook the hashbrowns because they just tasted bad and bitter. The quesadillas were not made with any butter or oil and barely any cheese, so it ended up being a flimsy flour breakfast taco rather than an actual quesadilla. I think that if I came in with the expectation that it was trying to be a healthy brunch spot, these might not qualify as complaints, which is also why I'm not giving an especially bad review.

We’re visiting from Vegas, this was a great vibe and reminded us of the downtown restaurants we have back home but with the cali energy. Super welcoming, genuine and familiar atmosphere. Food was delicious and presented beautifully!! Super refreshing, definitely our new breakfast spot anytime we’re in town! ✨

I was dropping off friends at John Wayne Airport, and we were looking for a good breakfast/ brunch spot. We tried a few places, but they were closed due to the holiday tomorrow. We landed at the Rooster Cafe and were pleasantly surprised. They were packed, which is always a good sign. We ordered at the counter and took our number to a table outside as the inside was full. It was overcast and cool, but they were in the process of repaving their parking lot. So it was noisy and a little stinky, but the food was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito, which was full of hashbrowns, bacon, and eggs. It was delicious, and the salsa that came with it was spicy and complimented it well. My friend had the avocado toast with the balsamic drizzle and a poached egg served with a fruit salad. Even though it was packed, the food came out really quick, and the server was friendly and efficient. If I am in the area again, I will definitely be stopping here. Not only do they have a great breakfast menu, but their sandwich menu was very enticing as well.

This place was recommended to me by someone at the tire shop across the street. Love coming here to eat regularly now. Everything i've tried here has had a great savory taste. I've had their breakfast burrito, breakfast quesadilla, BLTA, and sliders, and all were fantastic. The girls at the counter are incredibly nice. The restaurant has pleasant outdoor seating and big glass walls which gives it a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend anything with Portuguese sausage! I only wish they were open longer.

What a great hole in the wall. Darn good portions, it seemed a great place for regulars. Clean and nice atmosphere. Great staff. I had the "Two egg breakfast with bacon" cooked to perfection and just the right amount. Four thick strips of bacon came with it. I will be back. If you are looking for a good spot for some great diner food, stop into Roosters and give them a shot. Tell them Mike sent you.
