a San Francisco experience in OC. The soup 🍜 🥣 are the best in town. You have the option to have in inside a big bread 🍞. A must have, delicious 😋

Needed comfort food, specifically the brie, apple and fig grilled cheese sandwich! So delicious and hit the spot! Their sourdough bread is the best and grilled is even better!!!
Also tried their pistachio macarons and they were good, but very crumbly when I picked one up.

The pesto chicken in the sandwich was really good and so was the sauce, but the bread was so so so hard! Omg, Good thing i still have good denture! Lol! I liked the turkey avocado better, the bread was as it is supposed to be: soft! They have a meal for two, for only $29.99 +tax , which i think it's a really good deal: two cold sandwiches, two soups in a sourdough bread bowl and two cookies! Yummm! (That's the best part, lol)
The oatmeal raising cookies are really good and so are the peanut butter ones. I recommend not to order the sourdough bread sandwiches since they are really hard; go for the regular bread. The place was a little filthy tho, just a little: tables were not clean and there was dust on the rail next to the tables, and the cute lamps on the tables were not working (they are kind of romantic cute little lamps), and they also have a self serve order area in case customers prefer a contact less option when placing the order.
It's a cute place and the food, prices and options are quite good. The service was good as well.

Boudins is always such a treat. I always get the clam chowder with a bread bowl, my partner had reward points for a free loaf of sourdough bread which was awesome!
Every Boudin from the original one in SF to all the others are always a unique experience to go to. Don't hesitate to try them if you haven't gone before!

Boudin SF, is located on 3333 Bristol st. Costa Mesa, CA. We had rustic tomato & butternut squash soup in a bread bowl and California veggie sandwich with green! Very tasty and enjoyable 😉 😋

On a cold, wet and miserable day here in Southern California, I decided to try BoudinSF because the thought of a good tomato soup in a bread bowl, with a grilled cheese sandwich sounded just too good to pass up. IT WAS YUM!!!!!!
It’s easy here to order; just place your order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table and they bring it out when it’s ready. It’s very good value, and the food was great. The grilled cheese was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the soup was delicious inside a tasty bread bowl. It didn’t take long to come out - even though they were pretty busy at this time of day - and overall it was a great lunch spot.
It seems like their breakfast would be good too, as they have a nice sounding menu, so perhaps next time I’d try a breakfast here. In the meantime, I highly recommend trying this out if you haven’t already; great value for money, in a clean restaurant and delicious food.
