Great restaurant, they have something for everyone. I got the mash tun salad and clam chowder and it was delicious. Very reasonably priced and the staff was all super polite and awesome! I’d definitely go again!
Nice lunch. Very good food at Flat Tail. Had the burger with bacon and blue cheese. The sweet potato tots are great.
We had a large group for a birthday party. Pit roast, chicken and dumplings and the chicken tamales were all excellent. Beer was excellent!
Great food, beer, & atmosphere. I have been enjoying Flat Tail since it opened. I love their appetizers and beer selection. Great place to watch your favorite sports game and hang with friends. Servers are friendly, too!
My favorite brew pub in town! Over-all package of beer, appetizers (frickles are awesome), entrees, and service are hard to beat anywhere in town.
Great service! Great brisket! Beer is solid. Try the KSA sour ale. As a brewer and foodie I give this a solid thumbs up! Nice work Flat Tail!
Jerk Chicken!. A fellow Salem gourmand, knowing of my perpetual quest for Jerk Chicken, recommended this craft brewery/pub to me. Their Jerk Chicken is available only in Sandwich form. Not my greatest wish, but I can live with that. The seasoning was of the rub type (a plus) and not the goopy sauce/marinate often encountered. Their fries are the fat "Home style", so I substituted a Green Side Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing which had the most interesting Spiral Grated Carrots in long looping strands. It made for an unusual presentation. She Who Must Be Obeyed had a wonderful Salmon, Cream Cheese and Caper Sandwich on an in-house-made Pretzel Bun and a cup of OK, but not great French Onion Soup. I had a glass of their Stout, which wasn't very. All in all a good meal in an OSU Beaver rich atmosphere. (Go Beavs!) It was worth the pleasant 60 mile round-trip drive to get there.
Upscale Sports Bar/Brewry on 1st Street.... As compared to the other sports bar around downtown Corvallis, this is not your father's or grandfather's sports bar...the place has a contemporary feel, filled with Oregon State Sports memorabilia. It has a dark gentlemen's club feel, but the restaurant is lighted up with the numerous flat screen tvs' throughout.
Food is an upgraded take off of standard pub fare and worth stopping by for just the food. The in-house brews are a must try, while the service is efficient and attentive. My wife and I came here twice during lunch time and food & drinks came out in a timely manner.
Would definitely recommend Flat Tail Brewing to friends and visitors.
Good food for price. We had a nice meal here. For the price the food was good. We sat outside and watched the people. Very friendly and attentive wait staff!
Last March, my husband, friends, and I went to Oregon for business, but of course we had to have fun too while we were there. As you know (if you can't tell by my blog), fun to me is exploring new eats and drinks! Round 1:Trying a Red Chair from Deschutes Brewery after arriving. This is made with seven kinds of malts. Round 2: This Chainbreaker White IPA is brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; accompanied with a 'citrusy' taste. I swear the other beers in background aren't mine! Flat Tail Brewery The first local restaurant we went to during our trip was at Flat Tail Brewery in Corvallis. We were all craving burgers and fries, I'm glad that we ate from Flat Tail because they were all great quality bar foods. As for the beers, I really liked the variety of beers they served! As an out of towner, I was amazed by the orange decorated all over the restaurant. They really have Beaver fever! Made me wish there were more bar/restaurants that showed more pride for The Rebels back in
