Delious vegan food. Fresh food with an excellent menu selection. Nice that menu changes regularly. Food tastes great!! Every visit is fun because the staff are so friendly and helpful.

On Friday, I drove to Corte Madera to visit Book Passage , an independent bookstore that's been on my bucket list for awhile. After spending a wonderful hour-plus browsing and picking out books, I drove to another place I've been wanting to visit -- Veggie Grill, an all-vegan restaurant chain that, unfortunately, does not have a Sacramento location. There were so many delicious-sounding options on the menu that I had a hard time deciding what to eat. I wanted to be able to include pictures of at least two dishes on this blog so readers could get an idea about what was available. I love cauliflower, so the first dish I ordered was the Crispy Cauliflower appetizer, panko-breaded cauliflower florets served with a sweet and spicy orange dipping sauce. So good! For my entree, I asked for guidance from the cashier, who said that the Sonoran Winter Bowl, the Bombay Bowl, and the Crispy Chickin' Plate were all customer favorites. All three looked good, but it was the cauli-mashed potatoes that came with the crispy chickin' that was the deciding factor for me. Porcini mushroom gravy topped the potatoes, and coleslaw and fire-roasted carrots were also on the plate. It was an excellent but extremely filling lunch, especially after the Crispy Cauliflower appetizer. If I hadn't been completely stuffed, I would have topped off my lunch with a piece of carrot cake. By that time, though, I couldn't even think about dessert. Veggie Grill has restaurants in California, Washington, and Oregon. The nearest one to Sacramento is the new Veggie Grill that recently opened in Walnut Creek. I really enjoyed this all vegan fast food/taco restaurant! The homemade veggie burger was delicious and very unique. The tacos were excellent and very similar to tacos I had at local restaurants in Mexico. The menu is very large and has great options from salads to burgers. Definitely recommend coming here!
I really liked the harvest bowl + tofu. Big enough portion for two meals if you’re not super hungry. The sweet potatoes were undercooked/inedible but the rest of it was very tasty. I also had the nachos recently and they had great flavor and were spicier than I expected (which I loved). A few extra chips would be great. Friendly service every time. I’ll be back!

I had a really good vegan burger, and it surprised me how similar it tasted to a real one.
Chicken wingz were great but the Lux burger wasn't up to my expectations. They need to change the bun on the burger and add more flavor to it because even though the patty is a Beyond Meat patty, it still tastes kinda plain because the bread is not that great for this burger.
The staff is super nice and the place was clean. The view of the Mount Tam is beautiful too. The view makes the trip worst it. Now the place does have nice clean seating and they give you access to use metal utensils to eat your food. Overall this place is great and the food is awesome.

This is one of the first veggie grills around.
Several years back they opened here in Corte Madera and went from several restos in the Bay Area to over 40 around the United States.
There is a reason for that. The food is entirely vegan and the food is pretty good.
The staff is still in need fo some improvement. Kitchen staff needs better training in cooking the beyond burger for example.
So that people can better enjoy these innovations I plant based meats.
Thankfully they do reimburse for their mistakes. Just make sure to speak with a manager.
But besides this, veggie grill is an exceptional place.
I am glad they are making the world a better place and helping end animal exploitation.

Whenever I visit Marin, I make a stop at Veggie Grill. Love that Marin has a plant-based restaurant...since you don't see a lot of plant-based restaurants in Marin ( which is absurd). The menu has a variety of tasty options . But hands down their house veggie burger is my fave, love the taste of their blackbean and mushroom patty.Their "fish" tacos are really flavorful and this is coming from someone who didn't like the taste of normal fish. Hope this restaurant is here to stay for the long haul.
My first time at a veggie/vegan restaurant! Went with my sister today to this location. I had the buffalo chicken wings and the beyond beef cheeseburger that was also served with vegan cheese.
Both meals were outstanding although I think I would categorize the buffalo chicken wings more as buffalo chicken strips as you can see by my photo. A little pricey as well but I understand. I am sure the availability of their product is not as readily available as the other meat-based proteins used at most fast food establishments...or lack there of so to speak.
All in all I would definitely go back and recommend this location. Very fast service, friendly staff and a clean establishment.
Veggie food isn't supposed to smell & taste this good! The menu is much larger than I expected from a vegan restaurant with lots of great options for entrees made to order. I highly recommend asking for a side of melted vegan cheese with your meal. The buffalo wings are also surprisingly tasty with a perfect texture. Try the pomegranate green tea or matcha horchata as your beverage. Excellent service and friendly staff with a very clean dining section.
Tasty plant-based restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I got the “far east bowl” for $12 and it was pretty good. The Sesame Chick’n (not real chicken) was tender and moist with a nice crunch.
I wish I left a little more full for the price but overall it is a very good choice especially if you are limiting your meat consumption.
