I would like to start by saying that this is by far one of the best ever Turkish food I have had in a very long time!! Talk about their ginger ale or their complementary salad just to start with, everything we had here was bang on! Chicken tikka platter and mixed grill platter for main course were absolutely colorful and flavorful! If that wasn't all, Tiramisu with Turkish coffee was icing on the cake! And yes, their hospitality is equally praise worthy. A must visit for anyone who is even close to Corpus Christi, hands down!!
Just had a fabulous dinner here. I had the lamb shanks and they were delicious as was the rice and zucchini/ squash medley that came with it.. Also ordered at our table was the humus appetizer, Falafel sandwich and lamb marsala. All was fabulous. On top of that the service was top notch. Totally recommend and definitely will be returning soon.
The 5 stars is for the food alone. I’ve been eating here since 2014 and the food has never been less than amazing. If only the service ever, just once, matched the level of the food. Slow, forgetful, and chaotic are the best descriptors, even when the restaurant isn’t busy.
If you are looking for an amazing Mediterranean food experience and can forgive the service, you will not be disappointed.
Awesome food.. seriously.. and the menu has enough variety so that even people who are not into kabobs.. lamb masala or things like can find a great meal! I seriously wish this place was in the valley��

Seriously good food! All. Of. It. We enjoyed a large combo appetizer, calamari (my favorite), and kibbeh. We all had different entrees and everyone raves about their meal. Well done Ginger Cafe!
The atmosphere was so relaxing and the food was delicious. Just enough heat in the chicken curry and the Keft Kababs were juicy! Was a great experience!

Amazing food ,staff is always prompt and extremely curdious. They make you feel at home. they have the best kebabs in corpus hands down.
The food was delicious! My chicken sumac was perfect. The chicken was cooked perfectly to where it fell off the bone and I didn't need a knife. The atmosphere was pleasing, and I would go back in a heartbeat.
Best food I have had in months! Kefte Kabobs and the Ginger Ale with Gingeroot! Superb! And the staff also get 5 stars excellent above and beyond friendly service!
Wow!! The food here was so amazing. I got the lamb chop and my boyfriend had the beef kabobs lots of flavors in both dishes. We drove 2 hours just to try it, really worth the drive. Thank you for the excellent service.
Best shawarma in Texas. This place is a must when my husband and I visit Corpus. The people are pretty cool too!
We loved dining here. The staff was really nice and the food was amazing - not a cuisine I was expecting to be done well in a city like Corpus Christi which is overflowing with seafood and grills.
The kitchen is able to make vegetarian and vegan modifications as much as possible. Don't let the mixed cuisine scare you, their pasta was as good as their mixed platter. They also allow alcohol BYOB at a small fee (best to call ahead and confirm if you plan to bring in your drinks).
I had a Greek salad with the gyro meat on the side. I did not think to ask at first for the dressing , but the tazaki was very lemony for my taste. It was very thick, I just thought it had too much lemon. The bread was hot and soft, maybe a touch underdone , but still good. My server was very nice, and she kept my water glass full and checked back often. It is out of my way for lunch , but I will go back. Nice inside , it was cool , very laid back ( of course, almost empty , it was after 1)
Nice selection of menue items from a very worn bill of fare. Service and food were good. Inflation has taken a toll on dining costs. Facilities were a little worn. Parking was scant, considering the low rainy head count in the dining room.
Great place, the food was so good! Homemade ginger ale was great, we had a sample platter to try a little bit of everything and we also had the lamb gyro sandwich which was wonderful because it was not an overpowering flavor. Everything looked and tasted great and they were super nice!
Every time I visit Corpus Christi this place is must for me. The food is great and they never disappoint. Awesome flavor and good quality food. I got the hummus appetizer and the mixed kabobs platter. The Turkish coffee is awesome I just wish I had some dates to pair with it lol.
We went there for the first time in several years. I’ve run out of places to get a good Gyro when I remembered these guys. The Gyro came out hot and stuffed with tomatoes, onions and a dose of tzatziki. I really enjoyed it though the tzatziki was a little to strong on the lemon or some spice I couldn’t quite figure out, though not bad. I got the wedge potatoes which had some fattoush sauce on them and it was really a nice touch. The place was clean, the servers attentive and we look forward to coming back again, I really want to dive in and try their South Asian Cuisine Menu.
A great place with lots of options for many dietary preferences. Staff was laid back, but very tentative. The waiter noticed my vegan preference and without being prompted, brought out a complimentary vegan friendly appetizer. BRAVO! It was my first visit, but I definitely plan on going back!
One of the BEST Mediterranean food I have ever had in the US so far. The shawrma plate was AMAZING. You must try it.
One of mine and my husband's favorite places for a good warm meal. The hummus is always delicious, the carrot cake is sweet and has a great cream cheese frosting. And there are so many great choices for entrees. hubby's favorite is definitely the Alex doner kebab. My favorite is the la Portuguesa. Everything is great though. I recommend the potato soup on cold days, it really warms the soul.

Food was so fresh but still quick! We took chicken and beef combo platter. And enjoyed them till the last bite. Beef one was most yummy!
Just WOW! The food here is an experience of a lifetime. I’ve never had better masala that was so deep with flavor and cooked perfectly. Almost to good to be true! The chef deserves a million praises!

A friend of ours recommended this resturaunt to us, and here I am to recommended it to yall! It is delicious! The flavors are fresh and tasty! I wish I could remember the names of the plates we got, but honestly don't remember 🤣 but honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order, every thing smells good and tastes good!
Our waiter/server was so sweet and knew her plates well. I explained what I wanted and what I was craving she knew exactly what to reccomend 🙌

I highly recommend Ginger Cafe, the food is a little on the expensive side due to economy, but the quality, quantity, and freshness of the food has not been effected at all. The food is the best I have tasted in this area. Staff is very nice and efficient. Highly recommend the lamb shank or lamb chops.
