Horrible store!!! Ineffective manager who doesn't know how to lead and owner who calls his customers idiots and "doesn't give a f*#k who complains about him." Inexperienced and not very bright employees would not honor a stamp card and accused me of falsifying stamps to get free food. I've been going to this location for many years, but not recently. Apparently ownership has changed since the previous stamp that I have was used. They didn't know how to handle a customer complaint and made me wait 30 minutes to bring me a sticky note with their manager's first name, Robin, and the store's phone number on it. Really? These are trained employees? I called the next day. Of course the manager was not in. Then I called back the following week and left my name and number. No response. When I finally got in touch with the manager because I called again, she said there was nothing she could do because they don't accept those stamp cards anymore. Her employees would never do or say anything accusatory because they are in leadership camp at their local church. This is a person in charge? Is there any kind of training or minimal education required for this position? Even a high school diploma? Wow. When I contacted the owner, the first thing out of his mouth was, "Can you make this quick?" He didn't take any time to listen to what I had to say, continued to interrupt and talk over me, and finally said, "I deal with idiots like you all the time. I don't give a f*#k who you complain to about me, just don't come back to my store." This owner, Scott Freedland, I subsequently found out, runs and leads the Inland Empire Ducks youth football team. Is this a person our community wants mentoring and shaping the lives of young children? Someone who speaks to customers like this? I think not. Even though he says he does not run under the corporate division of Submarina, he still carries the name. The company I'm sure will be interested in learning how this location treats its customers. The California Department of Consumer Affairs will be hearing from me as well as other consumer rights' organizations and advocates to name a couple. Will never step foot in any Submarina again. Hopefully you think twice about it after reading this as well. Oh and their rating should be negative stars.
