The donut experience of your lifetime. This is a small, quaint, local to Corolla shop that has the best views of the bay! You customize your donut with choice of coating, topping and drizzle. They are cooked to order so you get them literally 15 seconds after being cooked. Soft, warm, and perfect ratio of dough to toppings. Perfectly satisfying in every way! The manager took his time to explain how to order and how they are a one-of-a-kind shop, despite being super busy. About $2.00 a donut and they sell affordable souvenirs, close to a candy/taffy shop, restaurant, and right on the boardwalk. Free sunsets too!!!!

An OBX staple that's grown into a nationwide success. The sampler, seasonal dozen, or favorites box are an easy choice or build your own with custom flavor combos. Staff are friendly and ordering is simplified by a paper ticket system. Not exactly cheap as doughnuts go but these aren't your grocery store standards either. Worth the drive and price. Iced coffees were also good. No public / customer restroom.

This was my first time experiencing Duck Donuts! The donuts are made to order, come out hot and are very pleasantly decorated. The wait time is fairly long considering we ordered ahead and were estimated at 10min wait. Ended up being closer to 45 mins. They were still very good. We did an assortment of 24! The glaze original was very tasty and the donut is an above average fry cake style donut. My review will be on my Tiktok soon! @Philtomasso4 come check it out! After hearing rave reviews from friends and family for a couple of years, we finally found ourselves in the vicinity of this renowned donut shop. True to its reputation, the experience was truly delightful. One of the highlights is the unique concept of customizing your own donut with a variety of coatings, toppings, and drizzles. The donuts themselves were nothing short of fantastic—hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. If you happen to be in the area, we highly recommend paying a visit. We certainly plan to return for another round of delectable donut creations.

I never give a five star rating because I believe there is always room for improvement but this place definitely deserves and earned it and this is why. The place is central location and you can see it from the street while driving. It is clean and very well decorated and their customer service is on point! From the moment you walk in, they acknowledge you with a great smile while they help you navigate your order. While waiting for our doughnuts to cook (did I mention they make them fresh for you while you wait??) we talked to the young lady who was doing the toppings. She was very knowledgeable and even offered us samples of her favorite toppings to try, (how cool is that?) By the time we left after buying a dozen doughnuts, I knew I would definitely be back just because they were so nice and we felt taken care of and welcomed not to mention the doughnuts were awesome and yummy!

Duck Donuts are very special. Warm, delicious & made to order. That is what they put on their donut boxes. You can see how the donut is made, right behind the counter. Start with a plain donut, then choose your coating; then choose your topping; and lastly, choose your dribble. For each one of the donut you order, the order form allows you to pick your choices. Or you can order from the favorites, such as: cinnamon sugar, glazed, maple bacon (yes, the top your donut with bacon) - BTW this is my favorite, strawberry and rainbow sprinkle, chocolate and rainbow sprinkle, peanut butter and chocolate drizzle, lemon and shredded coconut, etc etc. The selection is endless. You can make your own. So much fun.

As always, Duck Donuts does not disappoint! I was excited to try a new location close to the original and had a pleasant experience. Service was fast and friendly, even during busy times. I didn't know they did seasonal flavors. I got to try pumpkin spice icing and it was to die for! I love being able to customize donuts because I can try something different every time. My favorite remains the maple glaze with bacon. Yum!
