Thali is a lovely, family-run restaurant on Market Street in Corning. They serve authentic Indian food that is prepared in house. They are incredibly kind and attentive and the food is reasonably priced, even in this time of high inflation.
We often do take out, but have also eaten in several times.
We eat here at least monthly and would recommend it to anyone.

The place was clean, service was perfect. Not too much assistance, but also frequent enough to keep my glass full.
The food, was absolutely amazing. They asked how spicy I wanted it, mild, and it was perfect. Great curry, garlic bread, and the lamb Makhani was delicious. I will return.

Had a great experience here for dinner. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. They offered helpful suggestions, I wasn’t going to get a drink but they offered the chai and it ended up being delicious. The food was prepared very quickly and the portions were good size. We got one of the lamb dishes each and both were fantastic. The naan with chives and onion was great especially with the sauce from the entrees spread on. The prices for the entrees were somewhat high but the low cost of appetizers and drinks balanced it out to a very fair cost. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food.

kindest staff on market street, the best authentic indian food i’ve had in a while, maybe ever. the menu is expansive with multiple options for each kind of protein they offer. a wonderful experience overall, can’t recommend it enough

Food tasted great! Reasonably priced. Service was good but felt a bit compromised because of rush hour closer to closing time. Cleanliness standards could have been raised in my opinion. Also, would be great if they stop serving tap water to patrons.

Good food. Reasonable prices. Quick service. Friendly in a reserved manner. I wish they had music playing more often (I've only heard it twice in all the times I've been in there). Sauce bottles are often in need of a wipe down. Hours need to be updated as they don't close in the afternoon anymore.
Edit: The times I've been in since writing this the sauce bottles have been clean. 👍

Both my husband and I really enjoyed this place! When you order a dish, you get to choose the heat level, which is a must for us. The food was awesome! We had appetizer, entree, a side plus dessert. All for less then 60 bucks. Service was prompt and attentive.
