While driving by I tried this place on a whim due to its appealing appearance. After trying it, I'm not really sure what to think. I ordered the N'awlins BBQ Shrimp and opted for the house salad for the extra dollar over a side. My expectation of a salad is more than just lettuce with a slice of tomato and a 2 oz. Cup of Bleu Cheese with a pepper I won't eat. Their expectation of a salad I'm sad to report is what I just described. My shrimp came out and apparently my expectation of BBQ and theirs is also different. The eight shrimp weren't BBQ'ed and no one even tried to fake it with some grille marks. The Gouda cheese grits were similar in texture to sand and I assume taste. Never having tasted sand though I cannot confirm. I'm not sure what the gravyish sauce was surrounding the grits and shrimp but it didn't do the dish and favors. Now maybe this dish was spot on and I'm the one that doesn't know what it should be, I dunno. I do know I won't be ordering that again and I suggest you also stay away from it unless that's what it's supposed to be. Maybe my bad experience was a fluke and some of the appetizers or Po Boys are amazing. Honestly, not sure I'll ever know.

Horrible experience. The food was not so great. I dont know if it had anything to do with the time of the day we went, but i am definitely not going back to this place. Our bread pudding came swimming in a pool of chocolate and oil. We told the waitress and she politely apologized and took it off our bill. 🙄

It was 2 years ago I tried this place during brunch with a friend and had a terrible experience. My table was double seated, didn't get a waitress to come over for nearly 20 mins, and my glass had lipstick clearly still on it from a previous customer. We ended up leaving. I decided to try them again since it's been so long. The service was still lacking, so made sure to order food with my drink since the waitress took a while to get our order. The place was not busy, so didn't understand the wait. She could have come back to our table to see how we were doing before the food came out. She did finally move quicker by the end of the meal to give our check. Food was good, but better training for the staff is a must. I saw only one other girl who seemed to be giving great service. If I had her as a waitress, maybe I would have given a better review.

The service was great. All the hosts were very kind. My tea was never empty. The dish I had was very tasty. I was particularly impressed with thebreading off the chicken fried tenders. It was not salty, nor overly spiced. I could actually taste the juicy chicken. The gumbo was really good. Only issue was that the rice had several hard uncooked pieces of rice. Not enough to make it undesirable, but just enough to make it annoying. Overall, a good place to hang out and enjoy good Cajun good.
