Went to the Blue Heron as recommended by our hotel. Massive portions of hearty, tasty food. Wonderful service too! 10 shrimps in the Shrimp Scampi which was too many! Also came with fresh warm bread. Wine was a little pricey.

We were the last table of the night (9/22/2023). Everything about this place was great. The server had a smile and was attentive. The host was adorably bubbly. The food from the bread to appetizer, and main dish were all AMAZING. I will eat there again.

Bavarian Perfection in Coos Bay! The owner is extremely nice and puts his heart and soul into this restaurant. With German, BBQ, and seafood options, there is something for everyone. The German dishes are incredible, the homemade bread and cakes make the whole experience even better.

Excellent service, food, drinks and ambiance. In the end, they even gave me a lush free dessert because I paid cash. I like that the restaurant is not too big or noisy, and families with children go there as well. Finally, the decoration is picturesque and you feel cozy!

What an experience this was! My partner and I were in town for a night and decided to try the Bavarian/Seafood restaurant and I am so, so, SO glad that we did.

We're from Salem and in Coos Bay for a couple days, and attracted to Blue Heron by the large menu on the website. I normally go for seafood when on the coast, but was drawn to the the cordon blue Schnitzel...and not disappointed. A large portion, half of which will become tomorrow's lunch or dinner.
