Luby's Cafeteria

First time here. Ladies restroom is in desperate need of remodeling and should be kept at a higher level of cleanliness. If you don't mind not having the freshest of food, hamburger "steak" was good. Corn bread was awfully dry and hard. I'm not sure I understand why I hear so much buzz about this place.

I love Luby's, but this one was poorly managed. Don't waste your money at this location. Overcooked food and hard bread. When we Sat down to eat our food (fish and chicken platters) were hardly warm; need new burners!!! I originally came for the liver and onions, and the Manager wasn't very customer service friendly when I pointed out what was on display. The chocolate pie was horrible, not what it used to be. The crust was soggy and tangy. Very strange! The deviled eggs were supper spicy and very bitter. I am so disappointed, since I recently moved back to this area. I will have to drive to The Woodlands location moving forward. There is never that many cars there, now I know why. I use to come here 10 years ago. What happened?

I haven't been to a Luby's in a few years. They closed the one in Tomball that we petitioned for and helped open. (Still mad at Luby's for that one!) Great food but lousy 'server'. She only greeted us when my husband got up to get straws. She should had done it! I offered to pay my husband with her tip if he wouldn't tip her. Alas, my husband felt sorry for her and tipped her anyway. I really don't understand her ignoring us. She greeted the other people around us. If she had worn her name tag, I would have named her here. Otherwise, the food was great. Prices were higher but that's everywhere. Great job, Luby's!

I do not recommend this location for breakfast or brunch. We wound up leaving the food on the table and going to an adjacent restaurant to have a better family meal experience. We arrived at this location around 10:00 a.m. to try the breakfast as a result of staying at the nearby resort. There was not much of a selection when we arrived and a lot of the food appeared to be dry and overcooked. most of my family indicated that their eggs were lukewarm if not cold. The beans were dried around the edges and look it looked crusted. The meat selections were less than enticing and down right dried up as far as a turkey sausage or what they called turkey sausage. The pancakes were a little hard and the Belgian waffle was dry and rubbery. That kind of let me know and understand why they offered the liquid syrup and the liquid butter over top of it to ensure that it was edible. The server that was helping us at the table was doing as best she could with what she had to work with. this was a sorry excuse for this franchise to offer for breakfast I would not recommend this restaurant location for breakfast or brunch.
