I go here all the time and absolutely have had flawless service and the food is amazing! I've never had any issues. My favorite is the spicy chicken mac and cheese. Also, they had a special of swordfish just a few days ago (I had never had it before, figured I'd try it), and it was delicious!

I love the staff been going here for an amazing meal and service for the past two years...it is the place in commerce, very popular...can be a long wait but well worth it!

The Lakes is the GEM of commerce! My husband and I have been going there regularly since we discovered it last summer. Not only is the food amazing but the service is outstanding. We love sitting at the bar with Jen and Josh. Those two are the best bartenders in the area... Charming and talented, they're always delivering top notch service! The Lakes, our second home. I couldn't say enough good things!

Best Restaurant in Commerce!. The Lakes is one of my favorite places, it is the go to place for outstanding service and amazing food! All the servers are fun, friendly and make the experience enjoyable. They always have great specials, got to try this place!

Must try! It will turn you into a regular!. Tough to find good service and exceptional food in the surrounding restaurants in this area. When entering Lakes you receive topnotch service right at the door and the food is AWESOME! The owner is also the cook, so you know they aren't messing around with their menu items and featured specials. If Scallops are on special, GET THEM!! You will not be disappointed! We had the wedge salad and french onion soup for starters which were also very flavorful and fresh! Must try restaurant, you will become a regular.

A Definite Find. I'm not sure about what the other reviewers have written. I've been to Lakes Bar and Grille about once a month since discovering this place in the winter of 2012 and every time we've dined there it's been great.

I'll be the first to complain that most restaurants are medicore - at best. This one isn't. It's obvious the chef has some culinary training. Dishes like the Blueberry Chicken and Flank Steak have become my favorites. Not only has the food been consistently very good, but the presentation is great as well. And every time I've been there it's been great. And I like to call myself a picky gourmet. I don't work in the food and beverage industry so I have no axe to grind here...just an honest review. Try this place, my guess is you're going to be very surprised by the quality. Not something you would expect to find in a strip mall off Union Lake Road.

And one other thing. Beware of reviews from people who join, write a review and never write another one. They're usually sent by the competition.

What a gem!. The second time was as impressive as my first visit. Atmosphere and staff are very good. Both are upscale but casual and unimposing. Food is very well prepared, presented and always with a creative attention to flavor not often found. We had the Pan Seared Sage Salmon, the panko encrusted Whitefish (broiled), with their Manhatten style seafood chowder (flavor was spectacular!). Friends and colleagues call me a beer snob - guilty. Their beer selection is quite good .

We really enjoyed dinner here last night. Everything was tasty, the service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed but elegant. The surf and turf mac was excellent along with everything else. Prices were reasonable for what you get. The on line reservation through Urbanspoob worked perfect also... Very cool. We'll be back.
