I waited 20+ minutes for white cornmeal breaded fish meal and didn’t even get the fish I ordered. This isn’t the first time this has happened and I believe all the locations are just put anything in the fish plates that are ordered. The large coke was watered down and flat, the sides were extremely small. Not worth the money or time. I will not go here again no matter the state I’m in because they all operate the same.

HWY 45 location, Columbus, MS Food reasonably fresh, but orders often take a long time to fulfill, at times 10 minutes or more. Seafood was quite good, sides are fresh and tasty, fries were cold. Just wondering how come no tartar sauce or lemon by default with the fish? Edit/July 2022: Prices have gone up -- but even a $9 "meal" doesn't include a drink; ended up paying 30 bucks for 2 people, due in part to the upcharges for sides like a dinky baked potato with a solid clump of cheese on it. We called ahead of time because we knew the wait time would likely be long (weekday lunchtime); on the first call, it just sounded like they didn't want to talk to anybody, and the second call was never answered. I then went there in person because I figured they were getting swamped -- Nope! Maybe 3 other customers. Got there at around 1:20p, order took a while to enter and it was officially at 1:25 according to the receipt; a couple of people had to help because of an apparent register issue (first guy was good, the lady after that...well, let's just say she was no lady). About fifteen minutes later, There were a couple boxes in the service window that I figured were for a drive-thru order, as they never called out my number. Ten minutes after that, with the food having sat in the window with no heat lamps the whole time, they notified me and grabbed the now-cold boxes of food and bagged them. I had to remind them to get me our drinks; the Pepsi was flat and tasted watered-down, making it undrinkable. I got out of there just before 1PM. Congratulations, Captain D's! You have now taken the triple crown away from Popeyes in all three categories! You win for "Service with a Snarl," "High prices for what you get," and "Absurdly long wait times!" Well done, I suppose.
